He does make mistakes but this is another steady if unspectacular signing.
Makes mistakes?

Tell me a player who doesn't

I think its very unlikely we'll be making any spectacular signings until Dougie sorts out the mess and gets us back in the top league

If we can get rid of Mills, try and bring Dawson in I reckon we'd have the makings of a cracking Championship defence

Tierney Dawson Knight Baptiste

Medo Holden

CYL Eagles

Sordell N'Gog
Pfffft.

Davies is a better bet than Sordell - Craig Davies, that is

I think Douglas has his eyes on somebody better than any of our current strikers, for next season

I'd be unsurprised to see the back of N'Gog and Sordell

Not quite sure why you have your knickers in a twist.

Spectacular will mean so much more to different people.

Dougie wants a 20+ goal striker for next season apparently. Aswell as Beckford.

WANDERERS have beaten clubs from the Championship and the Premier League to the signing of Blackpool defender Alex Baptiste.

The 27-year-old defender had several options on the table, including newly-promoted Hull City, but it is understood that he has agreed a three-year deal with the Whites this morning, subject to a medical.

Baptiste – who skippered Blackpool last season and had the option of another year at Bloomfield Road – can play in a variety of positions across the back four, but primarily as a right back.

If it weren't for this cvnt, we could be in the Prem :D

Obviously not or I wouldn't have said I didn't expect to see any spectacular signings

The fact you commented on him being unspectacular makes me think you thought it worth pointing it out, thus leading folks to believe you may be expecting something 'spectacular'

I'm just preparing you for the dark reality, post Coyle

So as you aren't left disappointed and end up blubbing into your 'I heart Owen' jamas

So it looks like two solid, well-regarded defenders with solid experience at this level, plus some promising kids

And the season ain't even over yet

More importantly from what I know about Tierney and Baptiste (assuming they are indeed announced on 1st July) they are proper leaders on the field and strong physically and mentally. Which we need in this squad desperately.
