2 decent signings

I think you could replace all of that back line we had (that we owned) last season. Id only be sad to see the back of wheater and mears, cos we havent seen the best of em yet (under a proper manager). The rest are past their best and/or too content with defeats and letting the team down. Get some winners signed.

The Oracle still saying that Dawson is our priority. If that's the defensive set up for the season I'd be more than happy with Tierney, Dawson, Knight and Baptiste

It does indeed and if Dougie managed to get the goals against column down with the loan signing of Dawson imagine what he can do with the reorganisation of a defence?

This transfer thread is shaping up nicely

Well, Dougie's self proclaimed style is to have an ultra-strong defence. Certainly not something we'd seen for a time and the players he had barely allow for that.

If he has 2 proper, decent full backs who ... one assumes ... suit his 'type' that's a very good start.

If we can, seriously, get Dawson back ... even a season loan if needs be .... that would make a huge difference.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

If we could get Dawson back, now that really would be a spectacular signing.

A fit Wheater and Dawson is the best pairing we could have and, by far, the best in the league.

Of the nature of a spectacle; impressive or sensational.

Something that is spectacular, as:
a. A single dramatic production of unusual length or lavishness.
b. An elaborate display.

You asked! :D

I'm all a bit lost here.

Who have we actually signed?

Who do we think will sign on July 1?

Tierney and Baptiste are "signed" but the club usually don't announce free transfers until they can "register" them officially. So 1st July I expect them to be announced.

Same with the two kids we signed from Milwall and Sheff Weds.

But is it "all mouth and trousers" or "all mouth and no trousers"?
