Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
I think a lot of these threads tell you how bored people are when the season ends
The content is usually about 80 pages of banter, 10 pages Nixon of induced gossip, 5 pages of disappointment and 1 page of BWFC confirmation, with smiles and shirts.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Where would the fun be if it wasn't 100 pages of drivel?

Pfffft.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Thankfully, it IS called the "Nothing to See Here Transfer Thread."
The clue's in the title.
Otherwise we could just put a joint link to Nixon and Iles' pages .... and make it the "Officially Nothing to See Here, Transfer Thread".

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Dougie is waiting on the result of tomorrow's playoff final before bidding for Mile Jedinak.
The Hall deal is close to collapsing.
Alonso is staying apparently.

Been reported all week that Fiorentina won't pay him what he wants and he is realising how well he was paid here.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
It sounds more plausible than Fiorentina being interested!

Jedinak is in the paper and Nixon.throwawayboltonian wrote:Any sources, using the term lightly, a la Nixon? Or just rumour and hearsay? I wouldn't turn my nose up at Alonso staying as he really grafted for us given that it was clear he wanted to leave, but I'd rather him here because he wants to be, not because he has to be.ChrisC wrote:Dougie is waiting on the result of tomorrow's playoff final before bidding for Mile Jedinak.

Hall and Alonso are rumours on the net as well as from people who usually get stuff right.
Nixon has also said all week that Alonso can't get what he expected from Fiorentina. Hull have come in for him and I think the other was Fulham aswell.

So he will look in the UK I guess. Any number of lower level Premier clubs can now afford to take the risk.ChrisC wrote:bobo the clown wrote:The first 2 I can buy, the 3rd ??? ...... Frankly I'd like him to stay, but wrote that off after the Blackpool game. We spent years developing him, watching him have injury after injury. There are still some weaknesses, but I'd like to get some return to be honest.

Why would we keep Alonso, having signed a left back?ChrisC wrote:bobo the clown wrote:The first 2 I can buy, the 3rd ??? ...... No chucking fance.ChrisC wrote:Dougie is waiting on the result of tomorrow's playoff final before bidding for Mile Jedinak.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
If we're going to keep Alonso we should push him up the pitch as a left winger, which we desperately need. Tierney is a better defender than Alonso and in the long run, left wing should be Alonso's best position. I like the sound of him on the left with Tierney behind him.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
So how do you know that Tierney is a better player than Alonso? Football manager by anychance?

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Me neither. Maybe its just his agent putting the frighteners on Fiorentina to try and make them up their offer?BWFC_Insane wrote:Why would we keep Alonso, having signed a left back?ChrisC wrote:bobo the clown wrote:The first 2 I can buy, the 3rd ??? ......
