(and - LLS is right - slight difference in climate - mine will be earlier being as I live in the "English Riviera"!)

I'd have thought that they get enough watering, but yes, I do add to it.

i was at B&Q today to buy a new letterbox... postie tried to ram too much bulkage through it today and it fell apart!!

anyway - one solitary lupin plant on the 69p sale rack... I couldn't resist following discussion on here... 8)

i was thinking of Bruce with the fruit cider - as he must now have a surplus of the stuff to dispose of! do you think such a trap would protect my new letterbox? (my missus actually does have pink wellingtons - though I have never see her wear them in the garden... only to walk the dog around the lake where we used to live..)

What varieties have you gentlemen -planted? That'll make a big difference to progress. My charlotte's always took a while to get going then went mental. My golden wonders produced loads of foliage and about 3 potatoes :(

I was umming and arring whether to plant King Eddie's or Maris Pipers. I think I went with Maris Pipers.
