There isn't an ounce of dislike in all my heart for Henrik! Top bloke, who gave his all, played out of position and never whinged. He was rubbish at football though!

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
I might be misremembering, but wasn't there a period (all too brief) where we saw him doing his 'bird' celebration every blinking week? Not for long, but he was on fire then...
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
In Birmingham, which is fine by me! He was shocking in his last season, absolutely awful. Cocking up and shouting at other people on a regular basis.bobo the clown wrote:.... our Fans, and Players 'Player of the Season' only 2 seasons ago ?Lord Kangana wrote:Where does all this leave Paul Robinson?
THAT Paul Robinson ??
The season before he did Ok, very well in fact when you consider his limited talent at Premier League level.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Thanks for kind words, by your standards...CAPSLOCK wrote:You don't think a player would jump at the chance to join Bolton from Yeovil?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Doubt he'd move to a club in the same division, might seem a risk for him as much as us.
Not often I disagree with you, but hells bells

No, in Madden's case I genuinely don't. I went to the Play-Off Final and read interviews with him and his manager and, while you wouldn't expect a "come and get me" plea, he seemed genuinely relieved to be settled.
Sad truth is, we're in the same division as Yeovil. Yes, we'll have a bigger budget, but the lad won't be turned by that just yet. And don't be surprised if they're in play-off contention: this is one wide-open division, as well-heeled Wolves proved...

think its the "fcuk you-est" i've ever bin when scottish jesus fcuked that proper lazy fcuker off.
i wanted 'em to give him a 10 year contract just for that.
probably only be 6 months of the bulgar bastards wages too.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Amen to that. Last person you need in front of a struggling left back. Doubt we'll be seeing many Petrov types under Dougie. You can have quality without being a lazy sulker. Listening Marv?.... actually probably not unless his twitter addiction has led him on to harder stuff, i.e the-wanderera1 wrote:*martin petrov shrugs his shoulders, somehow escapes any blame*LeverEnd wrote:

Owen Garvan signed new 2 year contract along with Peter Ramage. I don't think we'll be getting anyone from Palace. Not a bad thing though, apart from Jedinak.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Wasn't he converted from goalkeeper to left back? Or so some of the national papers think after mixing the two up on more than one occasion.Lord Kangana wrote:Where does all this leave Paul Robinson?
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Sounds like Bogdan's agent is "feeling the water":

I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

Fairly restrained by agent standards, can't see him going anywhere. Hope he stays but wouldn't be gutted if he left.Riviman wrote:Sounds like Bogdan's agent is "feeling the water":

Another great season, to be precise. I don't remember his first tbh.Prufrock wrote:A great season? His agent is high.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
It's all relative. At times before Christmas, he looked as though he wanted to be anywhere but in goal for Bolton. He might easily have ended up in a shirt that ties up at the back. By May, he looked happy to don the bright orange jersey!Prufrock wrote:A great season? His agent is high.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
the bolton no1 keeper is always shoite - the no.2 keeper is always ace.. them's the rules!
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Roma!? I know they're not quite what they were, but still. Are all Serie A club's on the look out for average second tier players from England? I've barely gotten over Marcos Alonso being snapped up by Fiorentina.
I expect Napoli will be coming in for Sam Ricketts any day now.

Mills to Leeds is gaining momentum. 1 million deal.

Not with me!thebish wrote:the bolton no1 keeper is always shoite - the no.2 keeper is always ace.. them's the rules!
When Jussi was our number '1' he was 'ace'. When it was briefly Ali he was 'ace' though I thought sliiightly less 'ace'. When it was Boggers he was OK, then shit, then decent. He might well one day be 'ace', but he wasn't last season, and as BP has pointed out, he certainly wasn't AGAIN!

cool! - that was to fund the Dawson-to-Bolton deal!ChrisC wrote:Mills to Leeds is gaining momentum. 1 million deal.

I think its more a case of freeing up the wages with this financial fair play coming in. Nixon reckons we could spend as much as 10 million this summer and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me. If we are seriously going for Dawson he wont be cheap (3-4 million?) Dougie also wants a 20+ goal a season striker which wont exactly be a free/bosman. Nixon says we want a defensive mid (Spearing/Jedinak?) and an attacking mid which is to replace Mark Davies so could possibly be a season loan rather than a buy.
Interesting few months ahead.
