Generally I'd agree, though they did do some classic track including one of my Desert Island Discs in "Riders on the Storm".Bruce Rioja wrote:Is there only me that's always found The Doors to be utterly tedious?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I think I'm banned from making such references Willy.William the White wrote:did it have sub-titles?bobo the clown wrote:A Red Army Choir collection .... Kalinka, Volga Boat Man, A Cossack Was Riding, Hava Nagila.

Well, quite .... it was music. Subtitles don't really go, unless doing Karaoke.Prufrock wrote:Nope!

I've no idea what I've done! That ('Nope!') was supposed to be a reply to Bruce's 'Not just me who finds the Doors tedious then?' comment.
When I say I've no idea what I've done, I think I just got to the end of the last page and, thinking that it was the end, just typed. So I do have an idea what I've done.

Finishing the wine mentioned in the appropriately-entitled 'Wine' thread to the strains of The Cure's 'Kiss Me, Kiss me, Kiss me'. Vastly underrated band.

I don't know yet. Going to Field Day tomorrow and I haven't heard half the bands. Should be interesting though

Re: What are you playing tonight?
Just bought tickets for The Answer who have announced a new album in September and a tour in October. Excellent.
I shall be giving their last two albums a re-spin tonight.

Been last few years. Just for ale really, bands not my bag. It's a pretty decent set up tho for a small town. Total washout last year tho.Burnden Paddock wrote:Anyone ever been to this? Never even heard of it before and it's only 10 mins from me.

It's one of those things that I've earmarked for the past two years as they've had at least one band on that I've wanted to see, but haven't ended up going. I think they've both been washouts, General.General Mannerheim wrote:Been last few years. Just for ale really, bands not my bag. It's a pretty decent set up tho for a small town. Re: What are you playing tonight?
Not playing, but been on Ticketmaster trying to get my daughter tickets to see One Direction, at the Etihad net May. I know, I know.
Eventually get onto the page and it's sold out, so thought i'd give Wembley a try and got a pair within minutes.
Daughter says that the mop haired tw@t out of the group has just tweeted that extra dates have now been put on for Manchester. Why the feck do they always do this and why do I always fall for it?
Still, a weekend in London next June sorts her 18th birthday out. Gonna cost me a bloody fortune though.
