What are you playing tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Worth buying for the last few bars of 'Touch' alone.
Hmmmm. The good things I've heard about this album have led to curiosity getting the better of me. This bits I've heard of Daft Punk in the past have had me write them off as electro-shite.

Listening on Spottybastard just now and really enjoying the feel of this one though

Ok...having listened to it now...

First half of it is pretty poor, second half very good

It's about three tracks too long. Just feels like they didnt want to cut their luvvies, so to speak. But that might just be me as I've always had a problem with albums over 50mins, never mind an hour. And this one drags by the time you get to the (admittedly decent) closer.

^^ "da funk" and "around the world" were fckin' stone cold classics, think the videos added to the feel though.
. its the later stuff that should make you go 'meh, heard it' . youve got it backwards.

about one single from that ulysses31 homage thing/lp was ok.

think i'd rather listen to the proper ulysses31 theme though.

Good call. Not just me that's old enough to remember that then? :)

I need to listen to Random Access Memories again, I think. There are some superb touches on it but overall I didn't get enough to make me want to rush out and buy it. I reckon it could be a grower though.

Bit late, as it was last night, rather than tonight.

Went to Night and Day on Oldham Street (allegedly in the "Northern Quarter") about half a dozen bands on, including the one my daughter is doing backing vocals in. So a decent night out all in all.

Just reminds of that Guinness ad that album! Atleast, I think it's that album.

Yes, Virginia by The Dresden Dolls currently.

Hugh Laurie's 2nd album, "Didn't It Rain".

On first hearing I thought it was poor compared with his first, but I'm driving a lot at the moment and have heard it 5 or 6 times through & it's well worth a go.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I watched the documentary a few weeks back Bobo; thought it a little self indulgent, but if you have the chance to do those things in life, why not? I really enjoyed the music tho.... Currently listening to some Corey Harris atm, check out 'special rider blues' on you tube, but don't buy the album as it's a different version and imo shee ite.

Ventured into the centre of Manchester to enjoy the glorious weather, decided to wander in to a shop called 'that's entertainment'. Managed to get a good selection of 9 CD's for £10. I recommend it.

That's my first stop on every trip to Manchester. Great for presents for my teenage daughter who can't get enough of DVD's. Not checked out the CD's, but will have a look next time i'm in, which may well be this weekend.

Dusk and Summer - Dashboard Confessional

Not listened to this for aaaaages. Some soaring ballads with subtle, thought provoking lyrics.
