Maybe it's just the kind of business that can get away with being shite with customer service. It's the Bolton Wanderers ticket office and they have a monopoly over the tickets, people aren't exactly going to support another team and so as a fan have little other choice than to put up with it and they probably don't have much incentive to improve it.BWFC_Insane wrote:Agree with Bruce although with the caveat of I've rarely bought tickets from other clubs so can't compare the level of service across the industry. So farce may be slightly far, but the service isn't good compared to other similar industries.Bruce Rioja wrote:I think you might. The place is an absolute farce. Always has been and is actually getting even worse.NiceHotCuppaTea wrote: Seriously, might wanna think before you speak.
In fact the whole "football service" is shit. I don't know if it's still the case but you used to have to wander from the ticket office round to the "commercial dept" if you wanted away day travel. It's a minor thing but surely to feck it wouldn't be that hard to do it all from one window with one transaction?
I don't think their systems are that good. They regularly get things wrong with renewals and then "blame the systems" they use.
I do get the impression that the club just see the ticket office as a means to an end rather than what it should be the front face of the club itself.

It is a competence issue as far as management go, and likely a motivation issue lower down. They don't mind investing in player related activity and paying 1,000s per week. When it comes to back office and normal staff I'm guessing it is pittance. Sad thing is, it doesn't cost that much to put half decent systems in place these days.

They have made a right balls up of my tickets. Ou of the 4 tickets we had, we wanted to cancel 1 and keep 3 but move to the family stand and also change the direct debit details. They cancelled the 3 we wanted to move and kept the other on in the original stand. Also they kept the same direct debit details. I contacted them and now we have all 4 again in the original stand with totally different direct debit details from either last year's bank account or this year's. What on earth have I got to do before they will get it right?

I'm in a similar situation. Lost my rag with them and cancelled the lot. Going to start fresh when I have calmed down in a few days. Easier than messing about transferring this and that.

Not really looked into it too much but how much of the early renewal discount would you lose by doing this? Is it significant, because if not I may follow your lead sir!

What's it say?
Re: season ticket prices 2013/2014
Just what you would expect. Seats will be guarenteed for season ticket holder in their usual seats upto a certain date.Annoyed Grunt wrote:What's it say?
Prices will be band A prices.
Paper tickets won't be sent out. Season tickets will just have the playoff game added and you will use your ticket as usual.
If we make the final then season ticket holders will be guarenteed 1 ticket. Possibly 2 depending on allocation.

Those two statements seem to clash, do they not? Do season ticket holders get in on their season ticket or not?ChrisC wrote:Just what you would expect. Seats will be guarenteed for season ticket holder in their usual seats upto a certain date.Annoyed Grunt wrote:What's it say?

It just means you pay and instead of getting a paper ticket you would use your season ticket to gain entry.

They add the game to your ticket electronically once paid.

I've taken the plunge and bought a season ticket. Although I go to most home games, I haven't had a season ticket since 1977/8 - which was a promotion season for us.
Hopefully we can do so again.

I don't know. The lengths that some people go to just to avoid getting them in.Worthy4England wrote:NSL fella - like to be behind the goals.Bruce Rioja wrote:Where've you gone for, Worthy?Worthy4England wrote:I've taken the plunge and bought a season ticket.
