Watched the episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where he goes skiing. Easily one of my favourites so far had me laughing out loud to myself, it's maybe just behind the 'car pool lane' episode.

Game of Thrones finale. Slightly anti-climactic after the penultimate episode but nicely poised. It is only half way through the third book though I suppose. And I like how they defy TV series conventions to a large extent.

So what the hell happened in the penultimate episode that got everybody in a twutter about it? [I don't know if you require a spoiler alert or something, but I for one will probably never see it, so I'd quite like to have my curiosity satisfied].

hhahahaaa, classic. the one with his doctors orthodox daughter? "what are you, f uckin nuts!?"

have you seen the one where its the grand opening of his restaurant? or the one where he writes an obituary for cheryls ‘beloved aunt’ with the typo on aunt?? Haha, two class moments off the top of my head there... still the best show ever.

Yeah I've been working my way through them chronologically. I watched the restaurant swear off bit a few times I found it that funny. Another one that sticks in my mind is the dolls head episode.

French thriller called Tell No One... Really excellent, complex, dense, heavily plotted thriller...

Premise is... doctor's wife is murdered, a mass-murderer is convicted, then, eight years later, the doc gets an email with a video linked - his wife, seemingly alive and well... And then another... then a request to meet her... In the meantime, the investigation into her death has been reopened and the police seem to be building a case against the doctor...

Good, tense movie, though, at the climax, perhaps a little too easily dealt with.

Four stars easily, though.

That's surely from the Harlan Coben (sp?) book of the same name? Read the book a year or two ago.

An all time favourite of mine that one.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I know someone who has a cameo role in Alpha-Papa. He is a retired firearms officer drafted in for expert advice. The crew persuaded him to stand in the background mopping the floor during a scene. Saw a different trailer at the cinema on Tuesday evening so there's another out there somewhere.

Just watched 'Elite Squad: The Enemy Within'. Very good Brazilian action flick (Oh yeah, it's a sequel, and I'd highly recommend it's predecessor too).

OK - has it any real substance? I'm currently avoiding because of sick-making Liberace act. But interested that you rate.

Because of what?

I enjoyed it as piece of film making, with no real previous opinion of Liberace.

It's very stylish, glitzy, and brash. Douglas is superb, hilarious and heartbreaking. Rob Lowe cameo is brilliant.

Matt Damon is quite dislikable tho, I think that was the point? I havent read it but it seems faithful to the text rather than trying to please the audience as it does drag on a little, but fundamentally it's very much Boogie Nights.
