Seems unlikely. Maybe we should have a go, he owes us a few good games still!
Hull are making a £400,000 move for Galatasaray striker Johan Elmander. The 32-year-old, formerly of Bolton, has one year left on contract and is keen to return to England.

He could do better than that ... but he won't be coming to the Championship.LeverEnd wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ^headlines

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The Spearing one's intetesting though. Tie him and and Dawson back to us and I'd have some faith for next season.

And while your at it let me have a stint as PM eh

I'm not saying I want him back, but of all the things you could accuse Elmander of, I don't think laziness is one of them.throwawayboltonian wrote:Nah; he'll want too high a salary, there'll be bad blood with the fans (as most of us saw him as lazy) and he's getting towards the end of his career. I agree completly, not giving a f*ck till his contract/move was up for grabs is more like the truth!Beefheart wrote:I'm not saying I want him back, but of all the things you could accuse Elmander of, I don't think laziness is one of them.throwawayboltonian wrote:Nah; he'll want too high a salary, there'll be bad blood with the fans (as most of us saw him as lazy) and he's getting towards the end of his career. Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
He's better than the strikers we do have. He could get a premier league gig though I'm sure..Plus Ngog fills the hard working shot shy striker role adequateley. Its a goalscorer we want.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Connor Whickham as a loan anyone? He was fantastic at Ipswich but has had a bad spell at Sunderland and Il Duce wants rid by the look of things. I'm sure Dougie could take him under a wing and work with the lad?

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Elmander back to Bolton? No thanks. Don't really like the sound of having another overpaid and under worked striker in our ranks. The only way I would like to see him back is if he really wanted to buy into our cause and get Bolton into the Premiership. It's not a case of him not being talented enough. It's more a case of him not really putting the effort in when he first came to the club and only putting it in when it was of his own benefit. We've already pissed away too much money on him, lets not go ahead and waste another £1m doing exactly the same again. He'd improve our squad talent wise but he's not going to come back surely.
Klasnic would thrive in this league and I think signing him would be a much better idea. He doesn't really need to work too hard to get the goals and would make a great squad player, plus he'd be on a free I would imagine.

if it was a straight choice between the two, Elmo every fvcking time
We could accuse Elmo of a couple of things but effort is not one IMO

Klasnic would be a disaster. Can't run, can't move, half decent finisher but certainly no 20 goal a season man.Mar wrote:Elmander back to Bolton? No thanks. Christ he'd be doing well if he managed 10 starts.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Just like to point out I was joking. Wouldn't want him back unless his contract was minimal to make up for the shocking lack of value we got from him last time. That's what I was getting at.
Can't see him going to Hull though, his scoring record is much better at Galatasaray than with us.
I reckon Dougie would like him as a player but he's too expensive, too old and would surely only come back to play in the Prem.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Controversially I would be one of the few that would love to see Elmo back at the Reebok. Not likely to happen in a million years but then I was also wishing that eventually we would sign Eidur back and that never happened either

Pfffft.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
I'd have Elmander back in a heartbeat. 10x the player of any of the useless wankers we have up front at the moment. Frustrating as helll, but he'd piss this league. F*cking N'Gog looks good down here!

Without clicking it, I will go for Elmo's goal against Wolves?
