Trying to manage a project without project management is like trying to play a football game without a game plan.

Strippers and free beer
Re: News: Fans the chance to influence BW matchday
1. For pity's sake, change the pies. Hollands are appalling - tasteless and soggy. Why they changed from Greenhalgh's is beyond me.
2. Sack the drummers
3. Er, actually, the matchday experience isn't too bad, so that's it for me.

Re: News: Fans the chance to influence BW matchday
I wrote to the club a while back about this - I may remind them again.
Have you ever been to Sea World? They do thing there where, inbetween the bits where majestic, intelligent, emotional animals are forced to perform for our entertainment they have a quiz on the big screen.
A camera picks out a member of the crowd and a multiple choice question is put up too. The person then has to hold up the correct number of fingers that corresspond with the answer.
I'm not explaining this very well I know but you'll understand how it works if you've been.
The reason I was told it couldn't be done last time was because Bolton weren't in charge of the cameras around the ground but surely in this day and age the technology must exist to do this now.
Perhaps Kevin Davies' role could be as the quiz camera man?
Obviously you'd get the odd knobber sticking the v's up and hopefully the odd flash of a nice pair of titties but if you kept the camera on the families and kids then you could do a home v away pre match quiz.
That sort of thing.

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Do they ever ask the dolphins at Sea World? bet they'd get it right (the dolphins, not Sea World).coffeymagic wrote:I wrote to the club a while back about this - I may remind them again.

Re: News: Fans the chance to influence BW matchday
Unless it's a really big game atmosphere I like to arrive as late as possible. Don't like standing around waiting for it to start, and I can't imagine anything they come up with will change that.

Re: News: Fans the chance to influence BW matchday
As long as it's
a) Not 'Zorbs'
b) Not weans dancing (majorettes and those friggin' pom pom things)
c) At 300000 dB
How about that eh? How about just silence so you can talk to your mates, or even - get this - just be quiet?
How about when the teams come out they don't come out to some jumped up opera/dance/x-factor nonsense that deafens everyone and totally destroys any atmosphere because you can't hear yourself fecking clap?
How about that?
No chance.

Ideally one of those cameras Coffeymagic was suggesting for his quiz could be trained on my seat and th game could kick off when I sit down.thebish wrote:errr... bring the kick-off time forward without warning?LeverEnd wrote:Unless it's a really big game atmosphere I like to arrive as late as possible. I honestly know the reason for them changing but I can't tell anyone other than it's Gartsides faultBijou Bob wrote:1. For pity's sake, change the pies. Hollands are appalling - tasteless and soggy. Why they changed from Greenhalgh's is beyond me.

Put the half time scores up on the goddamn screen, since no-one can seem to get a decent internet connection in the ground

Not just me then !?!?Harry Genshaw wrote:Put the half time scores up on the goddamn screen, since no-one can seem to get a decent internet connection in the ground
I honestly thought it was MY connection !!
It must be deliberate ... they're quite capable of setting up good reception.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I don't know, Horwich is like the Bermuda triangle where mobile reception disappears without trace. Ironically in full view of a giant transmitter (i know it's not really a phone mast but...). And I'm about to move there, Will send in player ratings by carrier pigeon to Radio TD.bobo the clown wrote:Not just me then !?!?Harry Genshaw wrote:Put the half time scores up on the goddamn screen, since no-one can seem to get a decent internet connection in the ground

Just cut out all the American style shit. Music, dancing, drums etc...
Better pies, proper beer and less queuing for them.
