After his departing comments, I can't say I'm disappointed to see he didn't make a lasting impression there.
He was never going to make a lasting impression anywhere. Totally agreed with Dougie's decision to bun him and I think this news vindicates him further (i.e. further than my assent, which I'm sure means a lot!).
Oh we all knew that, he contributed too little and too infrequently for us for me (and the rest) to rate him highly. Hopefully it's brought him down a peg or two though. Always thought he was better than he actually was.
A couple on here suggested he'd be a loss because of his 'Premiership quality', but I think most agree with you and me that he was largely an idle waste of space, albeit with a fair bit of talent to waste. Call from Wigan?!

Haha! Bin, definitely.
Otherwise I'd understand his disgruntlement on his departure.

Mmmm............. Bit of a d*ck from what I've heard, & maybe a bit old for Dougie's revolution, but certainly has appeal. He knows where the onion bag is.................( or used to,..)

My 'boro supporting mate says that he would sign Kev up for them in a heartbeat, but then says that N'Gog is the worst player in the league.

I know which one I would rather have.

Headline: Up to five new men on way to Bolton Wanderers
Article: WANDERERS hope to welcome at least five new faces for pre-season at the end of next week.

Unless we get five exactly one of those statements is wrong

no it's not.

up to five (1,2,3,4, or 5) ARE on their way to Bolton Wanderers (FACT!) - they are walking or cycling - it'll take a while
and we HOPE to welcome AT LEAST five - ie. we hope for more, but the 6th/7th/8th are not yet actually on their way.

perfectly compatible whether or not true!

But if 6 do turn up, saying 'up to five are on their way' was false, says the pedant (and I've got the badge to prove it).

Is the Russian transfer window open then? I thought they (Russkies) were on the same schedule as us!

no it wasn't.. it could well be that the 6th wasn't actually on his way when the headline was written... he might not have been approached yet - but we hope to approach hm soon - or he might be one of those last minute people who doesn't set off in good time... you pedant badge is faulty...

Royston Drenthe? Never liked him. I'd rather have Royston Vasey... we need to replace Robbie Blake as the joker in the dressing room.

And that's a clever trick there, saying five new faces when we know who four of them are (assuming Baptiste comes) and there's nowt about the other one.
