Seeing Ganguly's 70's disco suit has just wiped away any disappointment that I was feeling re the ICC final being reduced to a 20 over slogfest! Oh my giddy aunt.

As a one day man he can score 28 off an over and take three wickets cheaply. He might be a bit lucky but far from useless I'd say. We'd be in great shape if the match went the distance but I presume it will be shortened and the win awarded on a system I do not fully understand.

He's had a great tournament. I've always just seen him as a bit of a nothing bowler who sides look to target and a batsman who promises explosions but usually gets stuck then gets out.

Bresnan bowling a bit erratically.

Edit: I think the game has to go the distance or its a draw now. Think Duckworth Lewis only applies after a minimum of 20 overs, which of course is now the length of this game!

It's barely a game of cricket though, is it?! And certainly not a fitting finale for waht has been a very decent one day competition. Can't believe how many Indians have flown in for it though. #normantebbit

Agreed. Why couldn't it have a reserve day in case of rain? I mean its hardly a shock that it might rain in England.

England are still pissing it away as it stands. Having done the hard work with the ball.

Not sure what we are doing out there. Plodding along with the rate creeping up towards 2 runs a ball.

In the meantime three overs of what so far has been (by England at least) unplayable spin remain.

Don't understand it. We need to keep wickets intact sure. But I'm not sure they'll be hitting many 6's off of Ashwin and Jadeja.

Wouldn't say that it was a clear 'not out'. I'd say that it was 50/50 and as such the benefit of the doubt should have gone with Bell. To give him out requires clear evidence, and there wasn't any at all.

It's the problem with our one day side. We give away too many. Far far too many cheap wickets. And often at the wrong time.

Bopara and Morgan the prime examples, did the hard work had the game in their hands then two sloppy shots and we have possibly, maybe even probably thrown it away.
