There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I only knew that because that free kick against Scotland is on every World Cup highlights reel, ever.

Aye, Teofilo Cubillas iirc.

All I remember El Salvador for, was losing 1-10 to Hungary in 82. Cant imagine a scoreline like that happening ever again in a WC finals

Just looked up White City Stadium's involvement in 66, turns out that it only hosted one game, and this is why. fecking unbelievable, Jeff.

In 1966, Wembley's owner's refusal to cancel regular greyhound racing meant the match between Uruguay and France in the 1966 FIFA World Cup was played at White City.

if it isn't clear by 'World Cup Finals' I mean the tournaments, not the actual Final match.

Oh it was clear. I just don't have a clue. I don't know if I actually know of any player who has played in the World Cup finals over three decades, never mind for three different countries!
Is it Roger Miller???????

When you say 'player' do you mean he played football for three different nations over three decades, or is this one of them tricksy questions where he was a player and then managed three different teams? eh? eh?
