Has it got ' Balls to the Wall' on it 2399? Total classic.
Re: What are you playing tonight?
'Everything You Thought Was Right Is Wrong Today' by Slobberbone. Great alt-country album, musically excellent with plenty going on, lyrics that range from funny to tragic.
Check out 'Gimme Back My Dog', brilliant satire on the typical anguished country divorce type song.

"All Over Your Face" by American girl duo Garfunklel and Oates.

Fantastic, irreverent lyrics. A sort of folksy, American version of Half Man, Half Biscuit.
Give them a whirl.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

No that's on the 1983 album of the same name!
I just worked a few days, and if my 35% share is over $130 I will put in an order from NuclearBlast.de ; and will get three Accept Albums then! (Only 5 Euros each).
If getting the Blood of the Nations Album (Does not have Udo Singing) make sure to get the Digipak with the bonus song 'Time Machine'....It's awesome!

Tried a couple of the reccos on here;
Slobberbone - Like these very much and will seek out a bit more. Had a listen via lastfm which took me off on a tour of Alt country music and came across a group with the rather uninspiring name of The District Attorneys - great stuff though.
Garfunkel & Oates -
Love the name and some of their track & album titles are a little blue. A nice quirky distraction but couldn't imagine listening to them for any length of time.
Then just heard First Aid Kit on Glastonbury doing Emmy Lou. Wow! Absolutely stunning.

To be fair I wasn't setting them up for an Grammy or anything, just found them amusing and capable.Harry Genshaw wrote:Tried a couple of the reccos on here; ......

#2 son tells me they "do" Edinburgh most years and that would be a fun place to see them.

Here's a random snippet from my favourites, Flight of the Conchords.

Not quite, although I did mean her. Lady was the Janitor's squeeze, she was Ted's Gooch. Fnarr.

Re: What are you playing tonight?
Picked up on a couple of good acts from the Glastonbury coverage. The previously mentioned First Aid Kit & a very talented young lass by the name of Gabrielle Aplin. Lovely stuff.
For the Kloot fans on here - their full act from the weekend is on iplayer. Flawless.

If I'd been there I'd have gone to see Molotov Jukebox, my mate saw them and she loved their set. Singer/accordionist is Natalia tena who is in game of Thrones and Harry Potter, which is how I heard of them.Harry Genshaw wrote:Picked up on a couple of good acts from the Glastonbury coverage. Cheers your Harryness
As an aside; did anyone catch Alabama Shakes? Mega, mega, mega. It's worth catching not only for Britney's voice, but the bass player is the business!!
I also thought old Johnny and PIL were fantastic. Open up indeed.
