Twitter man saying Blackburn still owe £5.5m for him. Bolton to offer that with add-on, presumably appearances, promotion etc.

I hope we can afford this money. Eddie has been unbelievably generous but he isn't super rich. I am struggling to understand how we can let our debt (whoever it is with) spiral out of control.

Personally speaking I think Rhodes would be very good for us but it doesn't stop me feeling uncomfortable about it.

Bolton back in for Sainsbury as either centre back or right back position. Alan Nixon again.

The thought that we'd spend £9mill on one player is laughable.

I'd be happy to take a punt on Rhodes but £9m isn't a punt, it's a fortune for us.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I will be stunned if we spend £9M on anyone. Stunned.

Marc Iles saying we are not interested in Rhodes.

As said before I'd be very happy if we sign Rhodes but to break our transfer record on a player who hasn't played a single minute of top flight football would seem bizarre to me.

Anyhow I very much doubt Even Venkys would risk the wrath of their fans by selling him to us.

You haven't read what I said. I said he'd be a good signing but risky for the sort of money mentioned.

We signed Anelka for less, and lets face it, Rhodes just doesn't compare.

9M would be a huge risk. Anyhow can't see it myself.

I suspect the opposite - that Bruce HAS read what you said...

allegedly both everton and sunderland are sniffing after Lee...
Everton and Sunderland are preparing bids for Bolton Wanderers midfielder Chung-yung Lee, according to Sky Sports.

The South Korea wideman was back in form last season after missing Wanderers’ relegation season due to a bad leg brake.

Stoke City were in talks with Bolton in January over the signing of the 24 year old but nothing could be agreed.

New Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen to form his own squad on Merseyside and is hoping to make Lee his first major signing of the summer.

Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has been busy shaping his own squad in the North East and wants to add at least two more players to that new look side, including Lee.

Wanderers are desperate to hold on to their best players after narrowly missing out on the play offs on the final day of last season.

Lee may force through a deal to the Premier League if the expected concrete offers come in.

I think they mean even his leg brake couldn't stop us getting relegated.

Presumably to try and get back in to the Premiership to earn the £120 million on offer there !!
Then why not spend it in the premiership to stay there and earn £120 million?

Is that what they call being wise after the event? I can't see us spending nine mil on any one player. I'd love to be wrong, but, with our debt level I'd say it's highly unlikely without drawing some revenue in.

All looking at it the wrong.. £9million is always give them £9million upfront.. if it was done it would be done using promotion bonus' and goalscoring bonus'... also according to Nixon we would have to pay the £5.5million that Blackburn still owe Huddlesfield

What's happening with the Baptiste saga; did he call at McDonalds on the way down?

I believe Baptiste is under contract to Blackpool until tomorrow, so that may reveal itself soon.

Unlike the pen dodger Holden, who apparently is under contract to no one!
