What are you watching tonight?

I'm fckg stunned that the programme has survived on't wireless, That someone has commissioned a TV version is beyond words.
I hope you're fecking joking? (which, if you are, will be far funnier than anything that ever featured in Count Arthur Strong). Mind you, some people think that that Mrs Brown's Boys, something I'd draw a direct comparison with in the utterly unfunny stakes, is worthwhile. :conf:
Amen to that, pathetic obvious shite. Amazed that anyone finds it funny.
I've a friend who finds him funny. I was truly gobsmacked when told as I fail to see how any could find Count Arthur Strong anything other than utter shite.

Oh, the irony...
Her, Lenny Henry and Patrick Keitly ... as funny as anthrax.
Take a sneak peek behind the scenes of the new Tesco Mobile ad shoot to watch comedy legend Gina Yashere being unfunny for the very first time
Yeah, right.

Oh for feck's sake. That thing that Ricky Gervais did that was purposely unfunny in the 2nd series of Extras - Mrs Brown's Boys is even less funny than that. It's the worst thing that I've ever seen, but this will give even that a run for its money.

Mrs Brown's Boys is so bad I'm convinced the bloke is a comedy genius. Tommy Cooper doing magic, Les Dawson playing piano-style you have to be actually quite good at it to pull off appearing to be so shit. It's the worst thing ever.

Anyway, finally got to see Gatsby yesterday. I expected to hate it but I thought it was a pretty good stab. The music didn't really grate, Leo is fab, but there were a few stylistic things that narked. The only thing that really did my tits in was showing Tom Buchanan's conversation with Myrtle's husband on camera. That and Toby Maguire was a poor casting decision (he's far too wet).

It was perhaps a little too straight-Hollywood as a simple love story, but I thought it was a lot of fun.

That's actually a pretty fair call other for the fact that I'd want to rush down from the audience to shake the hand of both Tommy Cooper and Les Dawson, whereas I'd be happy to run onstage and headbutt that prick in Mrs Brown's Boys!

If you're happy to sit through a bit of 'rap', I loooove this song about Tommy Cooper.

You may be right that the same sentiment doesn't apply to Mrs Brown's Boys!

Also, watched Fargo on Friday night. Enjoyed it, but didn't really get what the hype was about.

I often wonder if I'm missing the trick with Mrs Browns Boys. I don't know if my intelligence or humour-radar has stretched far enough and that everybody gets the irony except me. I mean, it HAS to be so intentionally not funny that it's funny. That's all I can think of..

I bet that bloke who does it is laughing his cock off that a bunch of absolute idiots are lapping it up, yet not 'actually' getting its concept.

I think.

Same here. Interesting to see how it pans out after the end to the last series.

Here's a fun idea for fans of both Dex and Game of Thrones...

Mrs Browns Boys was funny for a couple of episodes. "Mrs Brown talks to God" made me laugh. They should have left it at that. Restricted studio show based on how many times they can get the word "feck" said in thirty minutes. Stopped watching it way back.

Seriously, do blokes ever watch TV for any reason other then to perve at females? :conf:

mad alice is a very compelling character - multi-faceted and complex... her disturbing, psychotic hard-to-define relationship with Luther drives the programme..

it's a bit odd that you'd assume the only role a female character can have is as some kind of eye-candy...

have you ever watched the programme?
