I've heard him described (like every other player we've been linked with) as "a solid championship player", so probably not that good.

Have a friend that is a Blackpool fan and is gutted that he has left. Played very well against us last game last season and has had options to go play in the premiership so excellent signing and can't be worse that Mears and Ricketts.

Butterfield was released by Southampton, let's hope Dougie doesn't try to sign him.
No chance, he was just emergency cover who he remembered as a decent pro from a few years ago. Then the emergency happened and it turned out he'd lost whatever he might once have had. Dougie's not daft. Once bitten twice shy I'm sure.
