You should see the local paper down here, they report news from a month ago about the Royal b*stards.BWFC_Insane wrote:The Bolton News have always been a poor with their coverage of Wanderers.boltonboris wrote:Totally agree. I think when we were in the Premier League, the BN could accept that they wouldn't be getting a whole lot out of the club because of the media attention the Premier creates.
They are probably bitter as fvck now that the club haven't gone crawling over to Neil Bonnar with their tails between their legs.
The best bit about that article was the thinly veiled swipe at the fans for believing Nixon over him..
Compare them to other local papers and they are quite a way behind with information and the quality of the stories isn't great.
Many local journalists do release a lot of info on twitter as well.

Given we can't get anything like a list out of LK, maybe Dan could give us a list and show where on the list he would be - so likeplymouth wanderer wrote:Dan, you seen him play?

Just stick a pin it why don't you Worthy.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Boro want Wheater back, think we'd be mad to sell unless we could guarantee that Dawson is a viable option

Nixon said Dougie doesn't want to lose him a few days back when the rumour got out.TKIZ! wrote:Boro want Wheater back, think we'd be mad to sell unless we could guarantee that Dawson is a viable option

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
We can't sell Wheater.
I'm getting slightly anxious about our seeming lack of activity now. Where is the centre half we need? Where is the central midfield player? The winger?
We haven't even managed to conclude the Beckford deal.
I think Rhodes is a side show.
If we had a decent back four and solid midfield with enough creativity, Beckford, Ngog, Craig Davies and Eaves would be enough to at least start the season with, assuming we get Beckford sorted.
But we still have a big Dawson shaped gap, a Mark Davies size hole until January and only 1 player to act as cover for both wide men.
Oh and only one left back. Not good.

Calm down Insano. It is normal for us to do 90% of our business in the last week or two of the transfer window. Most players are only just back from holidays. If nowt has happened a week into August then by all means panic

The transfer window have been open 5 days out of the 64 days it has available to it. It still has another 93% left to run.BWFC_Insane wrote:I'm getting slightly anxious about our seeming lack of activity now.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
I think we have been very busy in the transfer market, more than the normal last week of the transfer window rush we normally see. DF seems to know what it wants but waits until he has got his man before getting rid of the players he does not want. I am happy with the business so far with 4 weeks until the start of the season there is plenty of time. I will echo the others on her CALM DOWN DEAR....yadda yadda yadda.

The season however is less than a month away. We can't afford another slow start. As it stands we could end up going in to the Burnley game with Knight plus one of Wheater, Ream or Mills.Worthy4England wrote:The transfer window have been open 5 days out of the 64 days it has available to it. I'm fairly sure they can do a transfer from woe to go in less than 24 hours. Not panicking yet.BWFC_Insane wrote:The season however is less than a month away. We can't afford another slow start. Yeah I'm not panicking. I'd just like to see us sniff around a few decent centre backs.
