The stench of Emma is all over this article......
WE all knew it was his last season, how come he didn't ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He really did see Bolton as a never ending meal-ticket didn't he?
No wonder he gave up trying for the last two seasons. Whats the point when you think you've got a guaranteed new deal irrespective of performance?

Can't be doing with his pissing and moaning anymore. I like how he makes out he was our best striker last season because he made more appearances than all the rest "despite them being 10 years younger".
You can see from these comments and articles that have come out since he left, how he thought he was a billy big bollocks around the club.
I honestly believe that Coyle was scared to drop him despite his poor performances. Dougie come in and had the balls to put him on the bench and move him out. It should have happened a season or two sooner IMO.

An Other: Kevin you are one of my favourite players. Your Mirror article actually reads as if you wrote it yourself!
Well done

So on he continues with this theory that the more he puts out there that this was some sort of shocking treatment, the more likely it is that prospective clubs will ignore the justified reasons why he was released.

He will sign for Burnley and try his hardest to score a hat trick against us.. but fail.

One wonders why someone that misses the banter so much and realises how hard it is to catch up after a missed pre season, is still running around the streets on his own. Being as how there are so many fantastic offers on the table.

Which is precisely why Monaco, Citeh, Paris etc. haven't exactly been knocking down the door. Not even Wiggin.Athers wrote:So on he continues with this theory that the more he puts out there that this was some sort of shocking treatment, the more likely it is that prospective clubs will ignore the justified reasons why he was released.
He should have gone to Sunderland in January 2012.
His last, 2012-13, contract was more or less a favour. He was pissing & moaning in January that he wasn't getting anywhere in seeking another extension (or she was) and that bollox about his birthday is simply codswallop.
He's 36 ffs. A good age for someone to pack it in anyway.
He continues to sully 9.5yrs of service. 7.5 of which were superb. He should divorce that stupid cow before she makes him totally unemployable. None of this augers well for his desire to become a manager.

Car Fisher has trumped An Others comment:
"Kev, a great player for us, and I am thankful the effort you put in over the year, but can you and your mrs stop tainting it.
Its not a one-way street, you may have loved and sweated for this club for 10 years, but that loyalty has more than been repaid. You were given another chance in the premiership when others would not. The club have been very loyal to you, and you have received very good financial reward for your services. If you keep attempting to have a dig at MY club, my feelings towards you will quickly start to change.
It is a football decision, and a good one. You did play a lot of games, but were poor this year. It is the right decision, you have been great for this club, the club have been great for you also, move on gracefully...please!"

Re: SKD off to Canada...
Strange that he states he has had so much interest yet issues what is clearly a 'Come and get me' plea. I suspect he believes he can still play at a level beyond what he has been offered or command more money. I can't see many taking an expensive punt on a 36 year old or offering more than a 1 year deal.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Perfectly put. Hope he reads it and takes note.keveh wrote:Car Fisher has trumped An Others comment:

Yep, just shut up please Kev and sign for someone else inseatd of talking about your gazillion great offers.
Unless the team plays a very specific type of long ball game he'll not do much though.

Indeed not - they've gone for The New Kevn Davies instead. Not that Owen Coyle needs a big bugger up front or anything.bobo the clown wrote:Which is precisely why Monaco, Citeh, Paris etc. haven't exactly been knocking down the door. Re: SKD off to Canada...
Course not. he'll have them playing beautiful flowing football like he did at Bolton except when referees/luck/injuries/luck/rub of the green/misaligned planetary systems precluded it.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Indeed not - they've gone for The New Kevn Davies instead. I've generally been "leave this one to blow itself out" - as it invariably will do, and time will move on. Got to say, he's done himself no favours for me with that article.

The only thing I'd change in your sentence is 'four seasons' rather than two. Someone else has noted he thought he was billy big bollocks, I've been saying this for years. I used to get masses of abuse for it, actual personal abuse because of my views. Bolton fans have finally, finally realised that he's been stealing a living at this club since Sam Allardyce left.
He talks as if he's hard done by. He's seen out his contract and hasn't been offered a new one. Big fecking wow, so have a load of other players at Bolton and other clubs across the country! He talks as if we've made him homeless and jobless when he's got a club from his home town fighting for his signature, never mind all the others after him.
My final word on Kevin Davies, thanks for the first six years of service to Bolton, you were absolutely brilliant and worked your socks off to become a favourite. Ever since then, you thought you were untouchable and the workrate plummeted. I'm glad we're finally getting to move on and see a new look strike force for the new season.
