You did indeed. And I mentioned him in May.ChrisC wrote:I called the Moritz thing about a week ago
WANDERERS have two wing targets in their sights – with moves in the offing for Newcastle United’s Sammy Ameobi and ex-Crystal Palace star Andre Moritz.

I can't stand players like Sammy Ameobi. The lack of technical ability is worrying, no matter what level they're at. If Ameobi was in Division 2, he wouldn't stand out as being technically the best player in the league. We don't need an attacking player who is as inept at kicking a ball as Muamba was.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
So you talk about techincal ability, but then in another post, you have your tongue up Davo's arse, slagging off fans for not appreciating him.. What's it to be? You can't have it both ways.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to speculate about the finances of the club, and who they might allow us to sign on what is a transfer thread. It seems to me that if that bores some people, they should just ignore it and get on with posting about stuff they do find interesting.

I've always been impressed with Sammyeobi when I've seen him. Quick, direct, gets at his man. Sort Dougie seemed to like at Palace.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Davies at his best was far, far better than Ameobi technically. He still is, from what I saw of both last season. Davies' workrate has dropped, he's slow and many other things but his passing ability, shooting etc., is better than Ameobi's is.boltonboris wrote:So you talk about techincal ability, but then in another post, you have your tongue up Davo's arse, slagging off fans for not appreciating him.. Ameobi is dreadful technically. There are no real comparisons to him and Davies. Davies was never the most skilled player but you'd fancy him to be able to pass a ball 10 yards, unlike the club footed Ameobi.

Davies can't shoot. He has famously poor control. What he did have was an unrivalled physicality. He wasn't technically good at anything really. Not even heading.
From what I've seen of Ameobi, he has a touch of the Vaz Te's about him. Gangly, Awkward, quite tricky, as likely to trip up as nutmeg someone, but capable of the odd flash of "how the feck did he just score that". He's a good option, in terms of offering something we don;t have. Capable of playing wide, or centrally. Seems a no-brainer to me, really.

Your opinion seems to mirror the manager's, although he doesn't quite phrase it that way:boltonboris wrote:In my opinion, we need regular goals as we can't keep clean sheets. No goalscorer = no promotion.
BWFC tweeted that DF said rather than wrote:Keeping clean sheets was a priority when I came to the club. Now more fire-power is needed and we're working on that front.

Apparently Bet Victor have just slashed the odds on Rhodes signing for Bolton to 2/1 from 8/1. 7/4 for Swansea.
It's still the longest of long-shots, but to be honest with Venky's still being in charge at Ewood, them selling their prized asset in their hour of need would not be surprising to me in the least.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Fraser has been training with Partick Thistle and played in a friendly game last night. He impressed the locals and obviously our scouts enough for us to snatch him up before the Jags did.

He was good tonight
More a centre midfielder, some passer of a ball.
scored 2 goals and definitely looked as if he was playing for a contract. Very, very good.
I'd like to get someone like Fraser tied on a three year deal. Clearly has huge potential and has already been subject of an offer after only a handfull of appearances - will well be on the radar down in England if he can perform in the SPFL. Could turn us a nice profit in a years time.
We haven't got him yet, Archie is keen on him but he has other options seemingly - here's hoping.
An excellent player.
Anyway, Fraser is, by all accounts, a very talented player. Well done to Thistle for getting him in early. Hopefully he's enjoyed the atmosphere at the club which will convince him to sign up.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Your video has proven my pointChrisC wrote:According to Dan, Rhodes is only good for tap ins.. Here is a video of all the tap ins that Rhodes scored last season.
You might want to mute it
most the goals he was either unmarked or only 10 yards out and I saw him beat just one player in the whole video in simple Rhodes is a tap in artist and I would much rather have Dawson and spearing over him however I would go after Austin instead at least he beats players.
A video which linked from your video proves my point a 18 yards header at 0:52 was a superb goal, followed by a goal where he flicks a ball through a defenders legs while the ball was in the air to then go on and finish and the following goal after that which is where his movement is so good it literally makes his marker fall on his arse.
ignore the first to goals because they will make you fearful ahead of our first game of next season

Those comments are somewhat similar to my opinion on him, a good signing, we are going to have a lot of good midfielders and some good defenders next season.malcd1 wrote:Fraser has been training with Partick Thistle and played in a friendly game last night. Dan, really, seriously, give it a fckg rest.bwfcdan94 wrote:Those comments are somewhat similar to my opinion on him, a good signing, we are going to have a lot of good midfielders and some good defenders next season.
You get a lot of latitude on here (look it up) but really ... how, just fckg HOW do you know fckg ANYTHING about this lad ?
He was 17 when we sniffed him out in January. Up to that I don't think even his own family knew who he was. After that point ... when someone with nothing else to do MIGHT just have taken a peep ... he had played TWO (count them, that's ONE ... followed by another ONE) minutes of first team football.
It's taken me about that long to type this.
You CANNOT know anything about him. Nothing. Nada, Zilch. F'call.
Sometimes mate, less is more.
