If only there was a way on a computer to search for details about it and maybe even catch up with missed programmes.Raven wrote:Never seen it, don't even know what it is, what it is about or what its onhi there, i'm chris wrote:It amazes me that its only now people are getting into Luther.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Carm down la. It's not like civilisation is going to end just because people haven't got a clue about Luther. It doesn't really matter.hi there, i'm chris wrote:Literally disgusted.

Yeah I was using the 'modern' term of literally. As in, not really.
Still surprised though. Easily the best English drama created in the last 5 years, if not ever.

I can't recommend it enough. Idris Elba is a phenomenally good actor and he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.
Start from season 1. Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix if you have it. If not, first month is free so might aswel give it a try.

'Literally' means 'not really' in modern speak ??hi there, i'm chris wrote:Yeah I was using the 'modern' term of literally. As in, not really.

Wow, I'm an old, out of touch, fogie .... literally.
Anyway, yes ... Luther is really rather good, assuming you enjoy gritty, slightly mysterious, character based crime thrillers.
It's no 'Count Arthur Smith' or anything, but worth a look.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
"To be taken literally" (or not to be), and "literally" are quite different uses of the word.
Anyway, let's not get side-tracked ... Luther is very good.

So weird, watching the episode of The Sopranos where they got back to Italy, and Paulie is talking about how his grandparents are from Ariano Irpino which is literally just a few miles from San Sossio where my grandparents are from.

Oh this is fecking brilliant.
There's now some fellow on called Kendrick something or other on that also talks over music.
You need to see this - the sunburning audience are all trying to look rather moody and are pretending to talk along, when clearly not a single one of them actually knows a word.
