AC. Got back from Blighty yesterday to find the air con has conked out upstairs. Still trying to get it fixed. 40 odd outside and climbing. Gonna have to move the bed downstairs. On a more positive note I probably lost a couple of kg in sweat last night

Visa/Work Permits. Get into work to find my passport has been rejected by China because it has less than a year before its expiry date???? It expires on July 8th 2014
how remiss of me ffs!
What is the point of having a rule that has a cut-off date for visas six months earlier than the fecking expiry date in the passport. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Tw*tin' tree huggers will find any excuse to drive home the holier than thou message, GLOBAL WARMING.
First because it gets colder it's CLIMATE CHANGE, now it's just having a tea break due to NATURAL PHENOMENA.
It is nothing but a plot to scare the populace into parting with more of their money to the Bilderberg Group types!

You know when those raindrops the size of tennis balls have stopped bouncing off your noggin after fifteen days of temperatures that made Dubai seem temperate, and if your house survives the coming landslides in the next few days, do you think then you might reflect that what you are undergoing isn't exactly normal weather, or will you continue to wear your goggles of denial until the bitter end?Hoboh wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... tists.html

Do you really, honestly, think you know more than the whole scientific community? Or do you only agree with things when people tell you what you want to hear?Hoboh wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... tists.html

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Exactly. You see I can empathise with little dino. You and the industrial conglomerates that insist on incinerating mankind's future are a similar instrument of doom to that chunk of rock that splattered Yucatan and little dino's hopes and expectations. I don't want you and yours splattering mine, thank you very much, Big Rock Man.Hoboh wrote:Guess little Dino was thinking the same when those nasty rocks thrown by the space hoodies came crashing in!Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Well future generations might want to live just a teeny weeny bit, maybe.

I don't actually like "industrial conglomerates that insist on incinerating mankind's future" and I would wave a bloody big stick at them, on a global scale.
What I really detest is those Tree Hugger types that spout any old bollocks and end up costing little ole me, you and everyone else levies, tax etc yet allow the villians to get away with pollution.
By the way I do not link pollution to any sort of global warming, climate change or anything of the sort, these I firmly believe are like the rocks, a natural event, it is IMHO a different matter that needs dealing with.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
So when for example, two weeks ago in Singapore, the average Singaporean could hardly breathe because half of Sumatra was on fire, that had nothing at all to do with pollution, global warming, industrial conglomerates, tree-huggers, governments, taxes, or early death? Really?Hoboh wrote:You would be very suprised.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Exactly. You see I can emphasise with little dino. Thats a poor answer. Someone's political beliefs are a personal thing. I don't particularly label myself under any umbrella anyhow. And certainly it is a subject I can decide on for myself.Hoboh wrote:From someone who believes in the fairy tale of Socialism, I find that a bit rich!BWFC_Insane wrote:Do you really, honestly, think you know more than the whole scientific community? But do you really know enough about meteorology, climate science and predictive modelling to be so sure that they are wrong?

Tango chat app hacked claims Syrian Electronic Army
Tango has about 120 million registered users worldwide
The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA), hackers loyal to president Bashar al-Assad, claims to have stolen millions of users' personal details from Tango, a popular video and text messaging app.
SEA says it hacked into Tango's back-up database and downloaded users' private phone numbers, contacts and emails, amounting to 1.5 terabytes of data.
The hackers posted screenshots on their website to back up their claims.
SEA says it will give "much of the information" to the Syrian government.
TangoMe Inc confirmed a security breach via its Twitter feed saying: "Tango experienced a cyber intrusion that resulted in unauthorized access to some data. We are working on increasing our security systems."
Tango admitted the security breach on Saturday but the US firm did not confirm that it was SEA that carried out the attack nor that 1.5TB of data had been stolen. "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this breach may have caused our members", Tango added in a follow-up tweet.
The SEA then took offence at a caricature of the Syrian president accompanying a report of the Tango hack story posted on The Daily Dot website. It asked for the picture to be removed in a tweet, then hacked into the news site's administration panel and deleted the entire article. The same group achieved notoriety after successfully hijacking official Twitter feeds of the BBC, Associated Press, the Financial Times and The Guardian newspaper. But the hackers did not say why they had targeted Tango in particular.
Internet security experts believe the breach may have been related to Tango's use of an outdated version of the WordPress content management system. According to E Hacking News Tango was still using WordPress version 3.2.1, when the latest version is 3.5.2.
Tango, based in Mountain View, California, has amassed more than 120 million registered users of its free video and text messaging application since its launch in 2009. The cross-platform app is available in 39 languages in more than 210 countries and allows users to play games and watch animations during calls, as well as edit photos and send e-cards.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

That what ever was on TV was interrupted to show the new royal baby (I reckon it was a decoy baby anyway for security reasons), can't the BBC accept that some people just don't give a shit rather than forcing people to watch it with some sort of televisual fascism.
