why, if my daughter has a 10 minute nap in the car on the way home from somewhere is that enough sleep for her to decide she doesn't need the 2 hour nap she normally has?

they're trying to sell our company (well, our parent company is trying to sell us). Don't worry, it's public domain.
What happens? NO ONE KNOWS.

I got sold six years ago too. We were novated to a holding company and during this process I left as I got a new job. For the first three months of my new job I continued to receive a salary from my old (new) employers as HR hadn't updated my status. Double Bubble!

Too honest for my own good I eventually 'fessed up and paid them all the money back.

Happened to me a few times. Shouldn't be much to worry about. In fact, once I signed the contract etc and then 3 weeks later on my first day I discovered the company had been sold and my 2nd day was the 1st day of new ownership. I got promoted a few months later, then poached by the company that I originally signed with and got meself a 70% pay rise. I does work out well sometimesmrkint wrote:bit nervous

Kinty, keep me updated on PM. Happy to advise.
In general, so long as you haven't got humungous pension rights ... which I doubt at your age ... it should be straightforward. Of course an acquisition is for a business reason and the new Company will look for synergies and benefits from the combination but all that will only come out in the wash to be honest.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Cheers fella.
You're right regarding the pension thing. The main reason im worried is that I'm in a niche of a business which has been deemed a niche of a much bigger business. And given what's been said to be circulating around our dead (profitable) corpse, it feels like we might be the first on the block!
But then again, I might be just worrying for the sake of it, so hey ho.
