If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Banana and choc chip muffins sound ok to me though. I realise Bish is angry about their American traditions, but perhaps relabelled banana and choc chip buns would restore their Britishness?
if you want banana - just make proper british banana cake (made with british bananas!) - you can add choc-chips to that if you have to!
ahhh but I have a recipe for banana choc muffins and my friend made some the other day so I know they are delish.
you have loads of recipe books - i refuse to believe you do not have a recipe for good old british banana cake!
But I don't want to make banana cake, I want to make banana and choc chip muffins! Go make your own boring healthy cake without the need for choc chips ;)

Surely my banana and choc chip muffins are far more healthy - using 3 bananas - then fairy cakes full of buttercream?! :conf:

A few years ago a friend of mine used to love Banana muffins so when he had 5 of the ones my mum had made he went home and told his mum he had had 5 portions of fruit that day! Redicoulas.

Sorry, life is treating me well at the moment, i'm feeling quite happy and mellow... Not angry at all. (Unless wenger fails to sign anyone decent over the summer which is entirely possible - ask me again when transfer window close...)

BTW, my banana and choc muffins smell delicious...

The Fecking BBC using nouns as adjectives, especially regarding countries. Just three examples today:
Italy coach plunge leaves 39 dead
Syria troops 'retake' key Homs area
Spain crash driver was careless

what next
Italy death coach plunge innit
Syria badboys 'retake' key 'hood
careless Spain crash nice person

No, no, no you mitherflossys. You are the BBC, upholders and defenders of our national heritage and language:

Italian coach plunge leaves 39 dead
Syrian troops retake key Homs area
Spanish crash driver was careless

Sky (oh a pattern)...

moved flat a couple week back. fortnight before then my flatmate (also owner) phoned up to switch internet from this address to the new one. Easy peasy, it seemed.

Then he got a call saying that it would be a bit delayed, meaning we wouldn't get it switched til the wednesday (we moved in on the monday). Shit happens, ok, that's fine.

Then got a call saying that they couldn't switch it because there was already an active line at that address. They weren't able to tell us who ran it (competition rules apparently) so they said we should plug a phone in in the new place, call a special number and they would tell us the info about the line. They were very sorry and offered a £25 voucher for the trouble. ok. w/e.

So got the phone, plugged it in, waited a day for it to charge as per instructions, then tried to call the number. Nothing. Not a sausage. You want to know why? Because there wasn't a fecking line.

Flatmate calls sky back up saying as such. And now sky have done an about face saying 'yeah there was never a line there' (wtf?) and that they're sorry etc etc whatever just give me the internet.

So they started asking questions about my flatmate to set up a new account, and which point he quite reasonably asked 'why are you getting me to set up a new account? im already a customer'. Sky call centre person checked and said there was nothing about him on the system. Turns out that after repeated failed attempts to close the account, either the compuiter or some office bod got fed up and just obliterated the account (how can they do this without express permission?). In sum, meaning that the whole process has to start again. And he loses the voucher!

So it went from switching internet from one address to the other to, nearly a month later, setting up a brand new account. And even then, they can't come until the 13th of August.

^ I feel the pain. I do, I do. The worst thing is, unlike shopping face to face, you can never get hold of the scrote that balls's it up, you have to then deal with people who didn't balls it up but who work for the same company and you feel like killing them but in all conscience you cannot as it's not their fault (as well as the practical sense that they are far away in a building you cannot access). And then the bastards do a "computer says no..." on you, and the rage overboils. At least that's me...

:D , That is exactly what is going to happen once my generation gets involved in working for companies like BBC. In ten years time those will be the headlines.

Erm, this may sound way too easy a solution, but just don't use Sky then?

This really annoys me. How can they only give this tosser a 4 year sentence? His family must be fuming that this thug will probably be out in about 2 years.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-ma ... r-23488162" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A 20-year-old man who killed a Royal Marine with one punch has been jailed for four years.

Wesley Clutterbuck, 19, hit his head on the ground after the attack in Fleece Street, Rochdale, on 30 June. He died in hospital the following day.

Reece Kay, of Waithlands Road, Rochdale, admitted manslaughter at a hearing on 4 July at Manchester Crown Court.

He will serve the sentence at a young offender institution.

Elizabeth Reed, Branch Crown Prosecutor said: "A young man, who was loyally serving our country, has lost his life in this senseless and unprovoked attack which clearly demonstrates the cost of just one punch.

"Kay ran towards the victim, who was a complete stranger to him, with a clenched fist and punched him once to the head causing him to fall over and hit his head on the pavement.

"He then turned and ran from the scene showing complete disregard to the harm he had caused.

"Nevertheless, he later admitted the crime and as a result we have been able to bring him to justice promptly, less than a month after the incident took place."

They are absolutely indignant. Just been on the regional news.

Daughter of a colleague went to school with the lad that's been killed. An absolutely lovely guy, I'm told. :(

The attacker sounds like a serious thug, but there aren't many who get 4 years for throwing one punch.

Shirley it's the result of the action rather than the action itself and the apparent piss-poor sentencing that requires dragging under the light here, no? :conf:
