It's a right weird audience though. I remember Dearden once asked Gowling something about who his favourite players down the years were, and when he said Djorkaeff some people started applauding

It might explain Sordell's recent goals, buying his next contract (wages) somewhere! Maybe the forwards thing is about workrate... you have to run around a lot for Dougie to rate you.BWFC_Insane wrote:He mentioned Eaves as one of 4 young players who could make a "small" impact this season (Vela, Eaves, Clough, Odelusi). The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Re: Fans' forum this coming monday
I love all this 'working one on one', 'individual training programmes' and 'taking players who's names begin with a Vowel to visit a swarmi in Ongabongaland'.
Last time I looked football was a team game.
'You, knobhead - pass to him, you give it to him and you, you lazy bastard - you put it in the net.'
How hard's that?
Traditional!

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Very good! And after my recent little rant about proof reading before posting too!Lost Leopard Spot wrote:swarmi? You've opened a right hornet's nest there.
Football's not a difficult game though is it? I think sometimes managers like to think they're some kind of psychological genius delving under the skin of these complicated young sports stars.
Sorry to go back to the 'old days' Dougles but when clubs used to be in town centres players turned up for training at the club and mingled with staff and fans on their way to the Normid.
Now it's all drive from Didsbury in your Land Rover, say you're not prepared 'mentally' to run about a bit and then bugger off home.
I blame Megson.

Aye well, we could go back to the "simple" training methods Coyle employed. I'm not sure many are up for that though.
Dougie did have a sign put up outside the training ground saying "simplicity is genius".
However, you have to move with the times and try to gain every little benefit and edge possible to.
