Pratley, Kamara and Baptiste looked very good on the pitch. Solid role for Ngog and Tierney. Rest of the squad....meh.

And yeah, we need Dawson

I don't mind a draw but the performance was bad. Neither team will be at their best yet, which excuses some of the sloppiness on display, but I thought we were very poor and let ourselves be dominated by a pretty average side. Our inability to provide chances for the strikers under Freedman worries me a lot and that isn't down to being rusty.

It's peculiar watching full backs that are capable of defending

I thought the same. Distribution could be improved and The Bap seems reluctant to bomb on.

When Eagles, Medo and Lee find form hopefully our strikers will too.

Surprised with Pratley today. Our best lad on the park.

Reasonable result. Hope we'll be a lot better next week though. Beckford had better start scoring because I get the impression he won't be offering much else. Ngog was totally off the pace. Midfield looked OK though and we look strong in defence. Like the look of Tierney.

I'll take the point. Our fullbacks were wonderful, Medo (throughout) and Pratley (especially in the first half) excellent. Nothing much to see going forward but Hall and Moritz should make a difference. Nervous about our Centre Halves because of their lack of pace and Boggers looks shacky, but all in all a fair result.

the new Nolan?
Isn't that why he was signed in the first place, and what his strngths were at Swansea? Square pegs/square holes?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I have just been paid out on SKY for Pratley as first goal scorer.. I'm baffled  Did Burnley's not count as it was a deflection off Wheater?

Is it too soon to declare our season over?

In fairness when he did bomb forward he didn't often get the ball, but I imagine better forward movement will come with time.

On a side note Trippier looks an excellent player.

Burnley's passing game was better than ours. Baptiste did a sort of part-time sweeper role quite well , and yes, Knight did win a header (missed a few others mind). Pratley, Eagles till he got injured, and Medo, impressed. Did Tierney actually hit a white shirt with a throw in? We didn't play all that badly at times but a bit too much hit and hope stuff at times. Clattenburger needs to get to Spec savers. Missed a panful of offences around their box and got conned a few times by the Clarets (one got Chungy booked for nothing) Couple of decent efforts from Medo and Craig Davies (that one needed saving). Their goal was a shambles but they all count. Point away has to be the plus I suppose. Hope Dougie tries for a settled side as they looked like they needed more time together at times. Three points off Reading at Home next week and we'll look a lot healthier.

Happy with a well deserved point.

Commentators these days often refer to the 'corridor of uncertainty' and it's quite obvious where ours is. In between Boggy and the centre backs. None of whom command the box or show any great confidence.

Eagles was great as always. CYL worked hard but seemed to make the wrong choice time after time.

Lots to work on but a point better off than this time last year
