I don't particulary rate Knight but he does seem to get the blame for everything
Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience

Indeed. Likely Freedman wouldn't have bought Knight or Wheater, but for now it's what he's got.bobo the clown wrote:While combined with Dawson he performed well. He does need that good one by his side though.
I'm sure we'd all like Jack Charlton (some even as he is now no doubt), but Knight alongside Dawson was good enough to move from 20th to 6th in the blink of an eye.

Yep. Where I'm at as well. I mean Knight is far from perfect, makes mistakes, plays like a 6ft 6 midget.Enoch wrote:Indeed. Should have won the header for the goal. But then I reckon he'd have done better than Wheater with Ings running at him. I still don't have a clue what Wheater was doing.
Knight with Dawson would be a first choice. Sadly I can't see it happening. But I hope Dougie can turn up something there.

not sure why you are giving up on wheater so quickly - the lad has been out for 12 months and he's just been given a new contract. People say he's slow but Dawson isn't a whippet is he ?BWFC_Insane wrote:Yep. Where I'm at as well. I mean Knight is far from perfect, makes mistakes, plays like a 6ft 6 midget.Enoch wrote:Indeed. No I will give Wheater chance to gain match sharpness and regain his confidence.StaffsTrotter wrote:not sure why you are giving up on wheater so quickly - the lad has been out for 12 months and he's just been given a new contract. But being slow is one thing being slow of thought as well adds to the problem.
Either way, I don't think Wheater and Knight together will make for a successful season.
Re: Adam Bogdan
Would take Wheater over Ream or Zat Knightmare in fact I would take any former player over Zat Knightmare. Time for Boris to lace up those boots again I think.....

Re: Adam Bogdan
Wheater is a carthorse with some end purpose. Zat Knight seems to look increasingly the Knightmare Fulham fans dubbed him with each passing day . At least neither is Danny Shittu. We need a new centre half. Wheater will be fine alongside someone with a bit more mobility. What's Gary Cahill up to these days?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Re: Adam Bogdan
I thought id add my oppinion, bogdan is a decent stopper BUT the team has a lack of trust in his ability perhaps due to his age this can be seen clearly in many situations when bolton central defenders panic whenever they are forced to defend in any situation.
hopefully a few clean sheets and some ponts on the board will instill some faith and we wont need to worry so much.
imo
if the best goalie in the world is Nuer and the worst is a cardboard cutout of mini me id say bogdan would come about halfway between the 2 with the potential to rise and be considered a quality keeper akin to jaskalainen ect

So he's got 12-14 years of his playing career left, then.Whookam wrote:Bogdan is nearly 26 can we please stop jabbering on about his age.

Re: Adam Bogdan
At 25, if he works out like plenty of good keepers it'll be more like a 15 years + career. He's right at the start of that. What the f*ck are people expecting?

And? 26 is not young, it is no excuse for his quite frequent blunders.boltonboris wrote:So he's got 12-14 years of his playing career left, then.Whookam wrote:Bogdan is nearly 26 can we please stop jabbering on about his age.
Re: Adam Bogdan
Just how many good keepers get to 26 and are still piddling around in the lower leagues? He's average, always will be. Plenty of crap keepers have long careers, it means nothing it's simply the nature of the position.Lord Kangana wrote:At 25, if he works out like plenty of good keepers it'll be more like a 15 years + career. Re: Adam Bogdan
I don' think it's a given that just because he is young for a keeper means he is going to get lots better as he gets older.
Preston had a keeper about ten years ago, I forget his name, he broke though in his early twenties, there were talks of England caps and moves to Arsenal, and folk saying 'if he's this good now what will he be like in 5-10 years'. I wonder where he is now. Boggers should find him and have a word.
He wouldn't be my number 1 priority for replacing, but equally I just don't think he's good enough.

Re: Adam Bogdan
Could do with getting Fred Barber back and getting back to methods that we found worked well with Jussi and Al-Habsi. Seemed to work with his training for those two.
