Don't know what impact (if any) this will have!
FFP perhaps?

The change will also see Heathcotes, founded by lifelong Bolton fan and two-Michelin star chef Paul Heathcote, provide the catering for all of the hotel and stadia.

Re: Club Takes Full Control of Hotel
They have been advertising this role for a while (or should I say a large venue in the Bolton that couldn't be anywhere else have been). the parameters of the job description seemed to be incredibly specific.... rather like describing, word for word, that only somebody with say the background and experience of Paul Heathcoate will be considered for the job.

Does this mean that you and Bruce get as upset by randomly misplaced plurals as I do?BWFC_Insane wrote:Feck knows but this might get Bruce (and me) interested.PC1978 wrote:http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/club ... 72535.aspx

He did a "taster menu" lunch for the big wigs at the Reebok and from around Bolton last week! I assumed he was going to be doing the corporate catering for the club.Lord Kangana wrote:They have been advertising this role for a while (or should I say a large venue in the Bolton that couldn't be anywhere else have been). the parameters of the job description seemed to be incredibly specific.... rather like describing, word for word, that only somebody with say the background and experience of Paul Heathcoate will be considered for the job.
Didn't realise they were taking on the hotel catering too.

Well its a massive coincidence if not. Someone sent me the advert - as I say it was very, very specific, kind of designed to comply with open recruitment just barely enough.

Never eaten at the hotel (cos it was by all accounts utterly shite) that might change if they do something decent.

This better not mean the end of my unlimited hospitality offer.
I mean, I hope everyone (especially Lucy and Debbie) who work at the hotel are being taken care of and the high standards of De Vere don't suffer now Lofty the Lion is behind reception.

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

I can tell you something for nothing the beans weren't Heinzes. The kids spotted that straight away. Not even Bransons (the only acceptable alternative).
It all boils down to the beans I say, If you can't get a tin of beans right what can you do? I'd strip of a Michelin Star for that alone.
Remember when the Jarvis used to be a nice hotel? We had a great meal in there one night. A couple of years back we stayed there and Jesus Christ what a rat hole.
The photos on the wall made me laugh though.
While some hotels have stunning vistas and famous portraits adorning their hotel the 'Mercure Bolton Georgian House' had pictures taken from around the vicinity.
One was of 'Burned out car on Crommy Lodges' Honest to Christ talkabout 'Welcome to Bolton' you might as well have put up one of that tennis player scratching her arse or dogs playing cards.
Still waiting for Lucy/Debbie news.

Phew! Just got an email back from Debbie and yes their jobs are safe.
Which is the most important thing.
But hospitality is still a goer! And that's a bonus too.
Eccles cakes for all!

Re: Club Takes Full Control of Hotel
Good news.
Heathcote does the catering at Blackburn and PNE and it's great.
He is one of the greatest chefs in Britain and although he what be directly involved in the match day catering operation it will still be quality.
His flagship restaurant Northcote Manor and his Bistro pubs are awesome!

I think you'll find thats Nigel Haworth. Heathcote doesn't have his restaurant anymore.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Longridge. And all the above are Haworth's concerns.

It's aggrieved me for some time now that the nosebag included in their CH is amongst the best (if not 'the' best) on offer and our's amongst the worst.
Very interesting point that PC1978 raises re FFP by the way. Very sneaky, but everyone else will be at it so feck 'em.
May the bridges I burn light your way
