Dougie proved in an interview earlier that pre season is meaningless apart from fitness etc. He said last time we played this lot and drew 3-3 we had a double training session earlier in that same day and players given more freedom to get up the pitch etc..

He said tonights game was a different ball game and would be much more focus from players etc.

Ipswich make six changes and are beaten at Stevenage. Getting them away in the next round would tick a groundhopping box.

Them or Brentford (beat both Dagenham and Redbridge 3-2), which is just up the road from me, although I'd guess a fair few Wanderers have already graced Griffin Park.

Or Orient, who've beaten Cov; or MK Dons, who won at Northampton - don't think we've ever played in MK have we?

Mind, a few of our local correspondents might fancy the short hop to Accy, who've won at Middlesbrough.... or Morecambe, who beat Wolves...

These games can be tricky at times, so it's a good win regardless of whether the game or cup is important or not. Nice to see our second string team winning and some players getting game time.

They were simply known as Pink Ladies at our school, due to the colour of their apparel worn whilst serving us lunch.

Ream wasn't terrible .... he wasn't good. The biggest thing I can say is that he's not a footballer. It's like he's not a natural player at all. He's fit, and moves well but his reading of the game is negligible, so he's always on edge. His team mates similarly are nervous whenever he is involved. His choice of movement or pass is poor.

He puts me in mind of the guy invited to play a match for his pub because they're short for a game. He plays rugby really but is persuaded to give it a go.
