Good man for not making a fuzz in the press at the time the promise was broken.

As for the decision it was probably the right one by Sam, Henrik was not exactly a key player at that time. But obviously the promise should never have been made.

No ... not having that. Great as Youri was he was offered a contract which he didn't sign as he looked around and tried to better it.

Finding he couldn't he came back to sign only to find Bolton had taken it off the table.

Mind you, bad as what Pedders describes is, I'm not sure why at that stage we'd have been offering him a further two years.

Because he was the best Left back we had at the time?

Insider I know says that's absolutely not true about Youri. He went on holiday, came back and the offer was off the table. But I'm only saying what they've said
