On another quasi-legal point here ... how can it be that " ... The problem is that we don’t know the rules ..." ?
How can anyone be dealt with for breaking a new rule where the punishments are, as yet, unstated ?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Because as I understand it the punishments kick in next season. The trouble is that the rules for FFP are meant to be being adhered to this season.bobo the clown wrote:On another quasi-legal point here ... how can it be that " ... The problem is that we don’t know the rules ..." ?

So whilst it may be that punishments only apply to infringements from next season onwards, nobody knows for sure.
Only that the FFP rules are laid out and clubs are supposed to be following them now.
The penalties will presumably be announced ahead of next season. I'm sure at some point the legality of all this will be challenged.
My suspicion is that they are waiting on penalties to see how many clubs can actually live within the rules.
There has been talk of transfer embargos and the like.

Dougie on fair play and transfers. Again he doesn't sound a happy man to me.
Do you think his mood will improve now we're giving Jay Spearing a medical (having agreed a fee with Liverpool) or is he just a dour feck* generally?
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
BWFC seems to have gone all out on this to make the fans feel like they have been listened to. Can't remember the club ever announcing a medical before the deal is done.Gary the Enfield wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/10 ... y_dilemma/

@OfficialBWFC: Jay Spearing is set to undergo a medical this afternoon after #BWFC and Liverpool agreed a deal for his transfer.

Are we what? Giving Spearing a medical? Apparently so. Is Dougie still pissed off? 'Cos if he is he must be REALLY hard to please.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
We have, by quite a distance I think, the best defence in the league when you look at our back four, keeper and two central midfielders. Adding Dawson at the back would make us very hard to beat but, unfortunately, I can't see that happening now. Glad to see us bring Spearing back in though. I wonder if he'll be fit for Reading? I imagine he'll be on the bench if he signs before Saturday, which he should do.

How can anyone be dealt with for breaking a new rule where the punishments are, as yet, unstated ?
Is there a link anywhere to the actual rules?

You can have the best defence in the league, but if they're lacking structure and playing the wrong tactics...

Doesn't seem as complicated as I imagined it would. It will be interesting to see what happens.
