Usually, from about February onwards, they're topless, arms aloft, blathering some incomprehensible shit about either the IRA or German bombs. If either of those subjects have any relevance to 1) Football 2) their lives at all. Usually the types who leave St Andrew's singing "where's your famous Zulu Army?!" They wouldn't sing that if they'd ever actually seen them. Bellends.

The ones who look about 16 who can't handle their booze are the worst.

a) Looking around there are a few in our away crowd who shouldn't be calling anyone else "inbred".
b) The song doesn't even make fecking sense
c) Its so small time it really is embarassing.

6) People who go with the sole intention of berating our players, owner, manager, chairman etc. At Burnley there was virtually a fight behind me as some bloke seemingly needing some anger management went mental after about the 5th minute at everything that happened. "Fook off Eagles you soft tart" "Wheater you're a wanker, do one" "Piss off back to Blackpool Baptiste you charlie" were some of the delights we were treated to. When the Spearing chant went up "No fecking chance, Gartside you fecking wanker get your chequebook out". Just an angry angry man. But there seem quite a few that follow us away. I doubt it's just Bolton that get them but well...
A bloke behind us was giving Bogdan dogs abuse, 30 seconds into the fecking season.

Also the retards that shout abuse at our own subs whilst they warm up. eg Ream at Burnley.

Some of the verbal abuse at the stewards and police who are telling Bolton fans to sit down is awful. Especially when they refuse to sit because they can see an opposing fan in the next block standing.

Smoke Bombs.

Now whilst I sometimes find them a pleasing novelty, and can often add to the atmosphere a little at the right moments, having 3 or 4 go off every fifteen minutes (when the side was playing dire anyway) at the Burnley game was a tad too far.

Plus I remember some lad a few throws in front of me set one off at the Blackpool game away last season only for Blackpool to run straight down the pitch and knock in an equaliser. Our players just lost focus perhaps? Anyway how is these people can sneak 3/4 smoke bombs into a football ground without any bother yet I fail miserably trying to take in a iron bru with a cap :(

I didn't verbally abuse them....I was asking the question as to why the Forest fans could stand and I couldn't....

See, I don't understand why they take the cap off? You could throw the bottle, if you were that way inclined.

I'm alright with giving stewards the verbals to be honest. I know one. He's a prick. And that bloke at the fans forum who was doing the 'I'm a little tea pot' impression and talking about Fabian Brandy. Do me a favour.

Edit: I think smokebombs look ok and I'm not against them. I think if they're done properly by people who know what they're doing and not by a 14 yr old doing it so his mate can post it to Twitter, it'll be a real spectacle. But they don't half get in your throat

I always seem to attract the nutter who wants to talk through the entire game. Mainly about how sh** we are, have been etc. I've been a fan for 28 years, I know how bad we've been.

The other thing is when someone hears my missus speak in her lovely cockney tones and have many occasions accused her of taking tickets away from 'true' Bolton fans even in the instances when you look round and there are empty seats
Pfffft.

Crikey!! No-one's ever mentioned my non-Bolton-accent.

Something that winds me up at away grounds is standing up and the person next to you inching further and further into your space. I had to turn round to someone and tell him that I was staying where I was because I wasn't going to push my girlfriend into the person standing beside her.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I think that's easily done without realising though to be fair. I did it by accident to the guy next to me at Burnley but that's because there was 4 grown men standing in the space meant for 2 seats so the whole row got shunted!

Jesus guys while there are a few things here that pee me of like the incredible number of Stone Island wearers going "I'm top lad me you should of seen us at London Bridge with Millwall last season" etc etc (and there are clubs with more of those w*nkers then us I can tell you that now). The majority of these things add to the experience of an away day and the general having a laugh. Guess what people get pissed before away games and yes people sing stupid songs and yes people want to stand up rather than be docile, if you don't like those sort of things then your probably better of going to watch your local park team and while letting off a flare may not be legal it doesn't annoy me. I honestly believe if your annoyed at people not wanting to sit down or your annoyed at people turning up at Brighton drunk then your probably better of just watching football on a url link. Awaydays are meant to be experiences you remember not like your typical docile atmosphere game at the Reebok where at times it seems is more like the Emirates (no offense GG). The best thing about an Awayday is being able to stand and the great atmosphere and being surrounded by people who are passionate about their club and put time and money into going to places like Peterborough away, some of them might be scummers or a bit drunk but most away fans are proper football fans who are passionate about their club and who don't want a docile experience similar to that you would get when watching a match on the telly in your home. The lack of atmosphere was 1 of the 2 main reasons I did not go to any home games last year, I hope that I find on Saturday that the atmosphere has improved because I do often think why do people go to football if their not even slightly passionate about their team.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Nothing winds me up these days as much as away matches in the 1980s, where there was a rule that we had to concede a last minute goal. It seemed to happen every feckin week
"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"

We did that at home throughout the 90's too.

On a lighter note, which away game brings you the best memories?

Mine's gotta be 'boro a few seasons back. The celebration when Gavin Mccann buried the goal was unreal.
