According to the BBC we're also drawing against Birmingham. At least we're keeping a clean sheet in that game.

Fck that, go all out.
Either 3 points or none for me.

Just realised that we've only drawn one blank (no goals scored) in 22 games, since mid-Jan.

I'd take a point. Otherwise we'll start to look well adrift and we're still in August.

Reid wants a smack and the ref's turning a blind one to all sorts of clogging and fouling. Their passing game is neat but they're a real bunch of cloggers in defence.CrazyHorse wrote:Tower FM are saying they'd take a draw now.

Re: Game for the Poaching at Forest!
Overall, I thought we were the better team in that half with just our final ball often our undoing. The main difference between the teams so far being the defence; whilst we have to create chances, our defence gifts wraps them. We obviously aren’t going to achieve anything this season gifting team’s free chances and goals. For example, whenever we lose the ball during attacking play they knock a long ball over the top and immediately have an easy chance due to the lack of pace.
Dougie has said that he’s waiting for his targets to become available which presumably includes a centre-back; but how many points can we afford to lose waiting in the hope Dawson becomes available.
P.S They are a dirty and unsporting lot!

We were sh*te.
I don't see anyone in that team who looks capable of scoring for us today.
The only positive I see from today so far is that Wigan are losing to Bournemouth.

We're fine up to the edge of the box, but we've no cutting edge.
We miss Eagles.
If LCY is this great player who isn't just a passenger its time for him to show it. He's the senior attacking creative player on the field. He needs to produce some chances and goals this half.

Re: Game for the Poaching at Forest!
and/or if Moritz is the great linky-uppy provider he is billed as - then maybe it's time for dougie to make a change and see if he can change the game at all? he must be at least a little bit fit if he's ok to be on the bench...BWFC_Insane wrote:We're fine up to the edge of the box, but we've no cutting edge.

He's been a bag of shite since his injury....one good game in every 4 or 5, as with Knight though the manager keeps selecting himBWFC_Insane wrote:We're fine up to the edge of the box, but we've no cutting edge.

Re: Game for the Poaching at Forest!
No one to organize our play and put that finishing pass into the box, we desperatly miss Mavies and Holden, and now Eagles also. Lee is just sitting on the right and doing nothing, while Hall can't do anything by himself. Get Medo out, put Odelusi in, get all out attack. Spearing to cover up.

Re: Game for the Poaching at Forest!
Some more research, into our centre-backs. It's based on their starts last season, so part-Coyle, part-Freedman and a slither of neither, but here goes.
We played 50 games last season, which is a reasonable spread over which to compare stats – but as Win-Lose-Draw percentages, to even up the uneven appearances.
For comparison purposes, our WDL% last season was 38-30-32 - ie we won 38%, drew 30%, lost 32%.
Mills (16 starts)
With: W31-D50-L19%
Without: W41-D21-L38%
Ream (15 starts)
With: 13-33-53%
Without: 49-29-23%
Knight (47 starts)
With: 38-30-32%
Without: 33-33-33% (he only missed three)
Dawson (16 starts)
With: 63-19-19%
Without: 26-35-38%
So we actually performed less reliably without Knight - but, not to flog an obvious point, a f*ckload better with Dawson...
