Must win I guess. Vultures already circling.

Really? Get the feeling most of the crowd are still behind him, where are the vultures?officer_dibble wrote:Must win I guess. Vultures already circling.
Must win? Not sure we will, perform like we did for most of the 1st half and we have a chance perform like we did in the 2nd and it will be a hammering!
Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?
Could not agree with you more there OD, cant lose this one and infact I think if we are not get anything out of this season we need to win it.officer_dibble wrote:Must win I guess. Vultures already circling.

Dougie had plenty of support from the fans yesterday. One nobhead was shouting abuse and this prompted a rousing Dougie song, all while we were 3 down and getting dicked on. Tierney made a point of coming all the way over and thanking the fans which is admirable after that result. He got a good reception as he should. No unpleasantness at all. It's just people expressing reasonable concerns that we have made no progress and aren't good enough to challenge at the top or play entertaining football.Madrigal wrote:Really? Worth noting that Palace started with 2 defeats last season before scraping a 1 nil at ours and going on a brilliant run.

I like Tierney a lot, think he has a lot of work to do though. CYL doesn't seem to help him out as much as he did with Alonso, maybe that is a time thing

I'm not sure about must win, but its most definitely a must not lose. If we're serious about being rivals to the likes of QPR, then it enters the realms of must win.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yes the nobhead went past me at half time and could hardly get up the steps he was that p!ssed. It was good to hear the response he got.LeverEnd wrote:Dougie had plenty of support from the fans yesterday. Agreed its not going to plan at the start as we all hoped but he is moving players out he sees no use for to bring in the players he wants. Time and perhaps a review at christmas?
One thing though please can Bogdan stop punting it long o Tierney?
Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?
It's how we bounce back from defeat. Didn't Dougie's first proper season in charge of Palace start off slowly? I'd also have Lonergan in for Boggers, I feel more confident with him between the sticks

It needs to work as a wake up call I am confident under Freeman it will do and we will see a different performance on Saturday, had such a defeat happened under Coyle I would be fearful of relegation. Dougie needs to repay our faith in him if we are not at least in the top 6 by Christmas then it could be time to go.

Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?
I think a few changes for the line up are needed.
Bogdan
Mears Baptiste Mills Tierney
Spearing
Hall Moritz Eagles
N'gog Eaves
Lonergan, Knight, Wheater, Lee, Beckford, Medo, Davies
I know Mears and Mills haven't really impressed but why not give them a chance. It means we can play Baptiste CB (where he seems to think he's playing anyway). Give chances to Moritz and Eaves too, why not?
Of course the inclusion of Eagles and N'gog is all dependent on their fitness.

''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

Effectively 4-1-5. You are Owen Coyle and I claim my five pounds.mcflykyle182 wrote:I think a few changes for the line up are needed.

Also a change of captain might have a bigger impact on the players

I'd not be two sure. He's included one at least who's made a tackle before in his life.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Effectively 4-1-5. You are Owen Coyle and I claim my five pounds.mcflykyle182 wrote:I think a few changes for the line up are needed.

Unveiling Lofty's statue the same day. Every time we make matchday a big occasion it ends in tears. Doom and gloom football-wise but looking forward to seeing the statue.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

aye - PLEASE let's not ask the players to "win this for Lofty"Armchair Wanderer wrote:Unveiling Lofty's statue the same day. Every time we make matchday a big occasion it ends in tears. Doom and gloom football-wise but looking forward to seeing the statue.

Wahey! We're off to this one
Which means we'll draw. Changing my mind: 1-1

A week gives me just enough time to be optimistic again. At this stage it's tough to picture us winning though.

Maybe a midweek signing will boost our optimism.
In a perfect world we'd sign Dawson and Rhodes and beat them 3-0.
