We made it difficult for ourselves with having a man sent off and we found ourselves with an uphill battle

I think it had already gone pretty wrong before that!!

“It was always going to be a difficult five or six opening league games because of the teams we are coming up against.

ahhh - leave me alone until game 7! :D

I'm rather late to the game but had I been here at the time I would have said .... "Darren is a good guy and not a malicious bone in his body, but he deserved to go".

I would have, honestly.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

What ever Dougle says he always says it with a 'smile' in his voice like he's been on a customer care course.

0900. Meet in foyet.
0915 Introductions and coffee.
0930 Break.
1000 Warm Words and their use.
1030 Break
1100 We Don't Have 'Problems' we have 'Opportunites'
1200 Lunch.
1300 Re Cap.
1400 Break.
1500 Learning to trust complete strangers through silly games.
1600 Break.
1700 Are you listening or just hearing? Or should that be the other way around? i can never remember anyway, that's that and you're £800 lighter so here's a certificate and away you go.

Owen Coyle does it too. Everything's a piss laugh for these guys, they could be telling you that your mother has just been decapitated in a saw mill and he'd still be smiling and laughing through his words.

See also England's Danny Mills. When he's on t'radio he always talks like he's dispensing what he considers to be common knowledge to an idiot.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Tony B-liar used to annoy me and he still does when he says 'Look' meaning 'Look you fecking pleb.'

If someone says 'C'mon then Tone you went into Iraq purely to get your grubby hands on the oil, there was no WMD's and the whole thing has been a trumped up quest to make your mark in the history books'

He starts his next sentence with 'Look'.

I don't like it when you go to a restaurant and the waiter says 'enjoy' when he gives you your meal.

I'm happy with 'enjoy your meal' or 'bon apetit' but 'enjoy' gets my back up. It's like they're saying 'The chef's wanked in that.'

Just me?

This and "Hamburger, add fries, add drink".

What's wrong with "with fries" or "with a drink"?

This thing where politicians don't point fingers anymore needs to stop. A bit of finger pointing wouldn't hurt a few people.

Knuckle pointing or thumb pointing has taken over now but if I was in charge I'd say 'You, you scruffy bastard, get your garden tidied up, you you lazy C get off the settee and get some ironing done and you, you've got five minutes to get a job or I'm gonig to set this dog on you.'

That sort of thing.

I know we're (well I am) going way off topic here but I was talking the other night about people who don't contribute to society.

I don't mean that everyone has to work like dogs but people who bring their kids up right, don't litter, keep themselves to themselves are being blighted by scrotes who churn out sprogs like there's no tomorrow, let their dogs shit everywhere and generally just take and take need 'correcting'.

They'd get a visit from Dr Coffey with his 'Freedom Needle' or 'Freedle' for short.

See it has the word 'Free' in it to make it sound like a good thing.

One injection in the back of the neck and it's lights out and good night. You're going to feel very tired and see a light, don't fight it.

Vote Coffey for a sensible Britain!

The ball was bouncing to and fro so many times that I was beginning to think we were playing ping-pong. 8)

who knows!! but I thought everyone originally thought we should wait until game 7 or 8 - or even 10 before worrying about results and league position? if that's the case - then we won't miond dougie saying that it's not about results at this stage and that blackburn is a tough place to go and there are no easy games and some players are only just coming back to fitness and that we now have a break to get them to peak fitness - and so the REAL season hasn't really begun yet... etc...

"We had several chances and if they had gone in..."
"We can be pleased with the way we came back into it"
"For much of the second half we looked the better team"
"It was nice to see some of those players coming back to fitness"
"When all my bestest players are fit we'll be reet"
