Re: Tonight's Football
I loved the following conversation between Neville and Carragher
Neville: "He is like a burglar in your house, you just don't know what room he is in" (he was describing a city player I think it was Silva)
Carragher: He is probably under the bed
Neville: Yeah your probably the burglar

The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Got a few complaints apparently, that. I wonder from which section of the community?

hmmmm.... y'see, unpopular as the opinion is/was - I don't think Coyle is a totally and complete idiot incompetent. I think it is quite evident he was a disaster at Bolton - but he had enough nous to get Burnley well promoted... also - tellingly - many TWers have predicted that he will take Wiggin at least into the playoffs..
sometimes players and managers achieve stuff at one club but not at another..
so - no - it's not 100% a troll. If we are not careful - then the laughing at Coyle every time he loses with wiggin might turn out the same as the "West Ham are failures - let's all laugh at them" thread... I note that is considerably quieter now than it ever used to be!

Does it really matter what he does at Wigan? I don't see anyone posting a "lets all laugh at Wigan thread". We are not in a position to be laughing at anyone.thebish wrote:mrkint wrote:Jez wrote:Against Barnsley, Bournemouth and Doncaster thoughthebish wrote:wiggin have amassed twice as many points as us so far - and scored six goals and conceded 3... But whatever Coyle does now he was an incompetent disaster here. And that is what counts. In the same way as Rioch still has legendary status here irrespective of generally poor results he achieved elsewhere after leaving us.
People have predicted Wigan to do well this season because of the squad of players they've got, nothing to do with Coyle.
I am surprised they've started badly given the teams they've played. There is already a Coyle out thread on the Wigan forums. But actually I think that rather reflects the stupidity of modern football. As useless as I think Coyle was here (and I suspect eventually that will come out at Wigan) they can't possibly have found that out this fast.

On a side note, I didn't even know they were playing last night. In fact, why were they playing last night? Don't appear to be any other championship games this week?
