I guess the trouble with a sprain is you can't tell how bad it is or how quickly it will heal. I'm guessing Dougie is also playing a very low risk policy at this stage of the season. Worse thing would be to "throw him in" and make the injury worse and have him out for weeks.thebish wrote:aye - i thought i remembered that... you assume (when you hear that) that if they don't play, they were at least very close to being able to play... a week later, you expect them to be fit..mrkint wrote:Bit worried about Eagles. When we lose this 0-4 are you all going to be calling for Dougie to be sacked?
It ain't easy, Sleazy even, Deceiving those we, Believe in.

i doubt anyone on this forum - with the possible exception of BL3 - would be calling for Dougie to be sacked in that eventuality - not seriously anyway...IggyTheDawgster wrote:When we lose this 0-4 are you all going to be calling for Dougie to be sacked?

A video was posted by official BWFC the other day showing eagles doing shooting practice and running round looking fine. Don't think there is any problem now.. It's either lack of match fitness or mind games.

hmmmm... surely the only way to get match-fitness is to play matches? so it must be the latter (or a case of mistaken identity!)ChrisC wrote:A video was posted by official BWFC the other day showing eagles doing shooting practice and running round looking fine. His foot has actually fallen off and he was photoshopped into that video

I can't find the longer video but here is a shorted clip from it. Definitely Eagles who hits the bar.

QPR signing Matt Phillips from Blackpool for £5M today. Injured thankfully so can't play tomorrow.
£5M on one player?

He looked good at ours on that final day.

He looked good for 35 minutes, which according to Blackpool fans I know, is all that you ever get out of him.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.
Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?
Yes but onced he'd been sportscienced (noun as verb Bruce, sorry) he'd be able to manage 73.8 minutes per game.Bijou Bob wrote:He looked good for 35 minutes, which according to Blackpool fans I know, is all that you ever get out of him.

I agree, I don't think Freedman would deserve to be sacked if we lost 4-0 but that would probably solidify my belief that Freedman is not a good enough manager to get us promoted, and I think many others would think the same way. That puts us in an awkward position because the results wouldn't warrant a sacking but they would make the fans very doubtful he has the managerial ability to get us promoted. Do you wait until someone deserves to be sacked, when it's too late, or do you anticipate what's coming and take action while things can be changed?thebish wrote:i doubt anyone on this forum - with the possible exception of BL3 - would be calling for Dougie to be sacked in that eventuality - not seriously anyway...IggyTheDawgster wrote:When we lose this 0-4 are you all going to be calling for Dougie to be sacked?
Neither of those are good options, I don't think. Assuming we lose 4-0 though, there'll be very few people on here who believe that Freedman has it in him to take us up which is what the club demands of him.

Sordell? Wasn't that deal "up to" £3.5m dependent on achievements he presumably never made (unless we paid per tweet)?Worthy4England wrote:That's only £500k more than our striker that's out on loan....BWFC_Insane wrote:£5M on one player?

As if to illustrate the point....

Rangers team last week cost almost double to assemble compared to ours. I bet the wage difference is even more frightening.
This sort of stuff was only meant to happen in the premiership, right?

''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

Err - we lose tomorrow and we're pretty much there.throwawayboltonian wrote:This. The only way I'd call for his head is if we are in a similar position as under Coyle last season, hovering above relegation with poor form that show no signs of stopping (after a respectable amount of games) or if we miss out on the play-offs by a significant margin.thebish wrote:i doubt anyone on this forum - with the possible exception of BL3 - would be calling for Dougie to be sacked in that eventuality - not seriously anyway...IggyTheDawgster wrote:When we lose this 0-4 are you all going to be calling for Dougie to be sacked?
