Apart from N'gog can actually hold up the ball.. Or at least he tries..Worthy4England wrote:I'd just like to say, from what I've seen Beckford's about as useless as N'gog.Worthy4England wrote:Three defensive midfielders?
Spearing, Medo and Ream?
At home?
We might not get a shot into their half, let alone on goal.
It's going to be a looong 90 minutes.
We might as well play 5-5-0
Hopefully it's just a goal Beckford needs to get going, and hopefully he'll get it soon

Leave it out he was shit too (again). We wouldn't have been any worse off playing with 8 outfield players for most of what N'gog and Beckford did.BWFC_Insane wrote:We won the midfield battle today. But what is the point of that if you have nobody who can create something?
Lee was woeful. That system might have worked with Eagles, but Lee is so far behind it is ridiculous.
There wasn't much between the sides but they took their chance we didn't.
As soon as NGog went off so did any creativity in our side.
One of Dougies poorest selections here. Certainly a bad day for him.
Need Eagles fit ASAP and get the timber off Moritz because his touch is lovely but he is well off being fit.
4 games, not going to panic. It is in fact our first home defeat in 2013. But definitely need to see a more settled side soon with a better shape than that!
We had much more about us with Cravies and Hall on, albeit still with little end product apart from the ball Hall slipped into Cravies.
Don't bother telling me about the two weak shots they had between them, they're strikers.
Agree on points regarding Eagles and Moritz.
Thought Chungy looked a little more lively today, although again without much end product.
Ream played well as did Spearing, and I thought Medo was better than the last two weeks.

Wish I could see all this good stuff you keep promoting N'gog for BWFCi. When he actually plays ( ie when he isn't injured) he does nothing beneficial. As for Lee, he was far from woeful for me. Not at his best, but certainly not as you saw him. Till half-time we did well enough then got ripped apart by simple good football. We never seriously threatened their box, although Simpson had a great game for them. I thought the ref was watching a different game the amount of fouls they got off unpunished with. Every time one of ours won the ball up front he gave a foul. In a word...disappointed. We need a couple of wins in a hurry.BWFC_Insane wrote:We won the midfield battle today. 3 defensive midfielders at home in the 2nd Division is laughable.Paying £1.6 million for the bog standard 3rd one when we badly needed an attacking midfielder or a striker is laughable.Freedman will be gone soon, he isn't up to it.

As bad a football match as you will see. Utter garbage. We played right into their hands with the set up and our front line was gash. Only Hall perked it up.
As soon as they scored we had lost. Heads dropped and effort went. Rubbish. We've now played 3 sides we havent a hope of finishing above. Only burnley we could compare to and possibly reading first half.
We havent looked like fighting for a win for about 6 seasons now...we play a team with more money, better players and we just give it up. feck Knight off as captain it is a disaster....worse than kevin davies as skipper. Give it Spearing.
Only positive is Ream did his job well I thought. In a home game when you have only won one match for sbout 4 months, was it the right job though?

Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?
Agree with both points. People seem to be giving him credit for occasionally being able to win the ball up-front and hold it for a short while - but it's that fecking occasionally that it's like having a ghost up there. And I'd expect a forward to be able to do that as occasionally as N'gog does it.TANGODANCER wrote:Wish I could see all this good stuff you keep promoting N'gog for BWFCi. It was 39 minutes in before either Beckford or N'gog won a header from a high ball played by our team. I don't recall if they won another between them for the rest of the game.
I'm willing to give Beckford a little more time as he's fairly new. But this post SKD "Brave New World" is shite (not that I'd want SKD back), it's got Emperor's New Clothes writ large. N'gog is fecking clueless most of the time.

Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?
I agree with this. How anyone could criticise Chungy and Praise N'Gog is beyond me. Lee was the better player for us today and NGog was poor, apart from in the first 20 minutes or so when he looked lively. It's nonsense to say that the creativity left our team when he went off.TANGODANCER wrote:Wish I could see all this good stuff you keep promoting N'gog for BWFCi. No, and with Charlton getting beat 3-1 and Barnsley getting beat 4-1, we might just scrape it...CrazyHorse wrote:Are we bottom three yet?

After all the accusations of drug taking and insulting of people's eyesight I'd like to direct you to Dougie's comments on the game. I can only assume he's deliberately trying to upset us...
Bolton manager Dougie Freedman:
"I felt our performance, especially first half, merited at least a goal. We showed great approach play against a top team in QPR and have played very well.
"Second half it was two good teams playing against each other in a very even contest. But QPR cut us open with their only opportunity and scored. From then, they showed ruthlessness, experience and closed the game out.
"I'm proud of the lads' effort. Things aren't going our way at the moment but they gave me a lot to be happy about."
