Watched Now You See Me last night. Fantastic film. Decent plot, looks amazing in HD and a great cast. Highly recommended.

That's it for Luther. Hardly seems fair when I've only just 'discovered' it.

i think they had taken it as far as it could go without becoming a ludicrous parody of itself...clapton is god wrote:That's it for Luther. Hardly seems fair when I've only just 'discovered' it.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
BBC4 on flamenco.
A good programme, unearthing some fantastic gypsy voices (particularly older ones). I thought it spread itself a little thin and didn't truly deliver on its mission to investigate the gypsy roots of this extraordinary passionate music.
but always nice to see the great cities of andalucia on the screen - in this case, Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz - as well as some smaller ones.

I watched it Will. Doesn't go near to telling the story but that couldn't be done in an hour. I have a whole rake of stuff from way back on the topic, problem being much of it is on cassestte, video and vynil. Wife says when I go, it goes with me, whatever that means.William the White wrote:BBC4 on flamenco.

It was recommended, or at least mentioned on here, by A1.
So despite it being in English it'll probably still require subtitles.

The acting's excellent, but if this wasn't a true story then you'd switch it off after 45 minutes on the grounds that it's far-fetched nonsense. That it is keeps you hooked, cringing at the gullibility of human beings. Apparently over 70 similar incidents occurred in 30 U.S. states. Unbelievable.

I honestly didn't think Breaking Bad could get any better until I saw tonight's episode. Wow.

I find it stretches to the edge of believability sometimes, but not to the extent that I can't forgive it. Love Jesse Plemons in it too. Fast catching up on this now. Series[1] one (only 7 ep's) rattled off last week and we're now half way though series 2.General Mannerheim wrote:yep, back bang on form this week after a little lull in quality witht the previous ep! ruddy brilliant!hi there, i'm chris wrote:I honestly didn't think Breaking Bad could get any better until I saw tonight's episode. Its good! We both found it a little depressing at first and not as immediately accessible as, say, the Sopranos, but, yes, we're up to speed now and enjoying is immensely.
[1] I refuse to call it a 'season'.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I reckon in the UK, it's called Series, and in the US it's called Season.
In Australia it's called 'Crapola Year #' and then the season number after that.

I use both. Doesn't bother me. Tend to use season for the America shows and series for English shows.
