Can we lay off the 'Knight Rants', he may not be very good, but he's the best CB on our books, he's far better than the 'clumsy / slow / no football brain' Wheater will ever be.

Knight was OK alongside Dawson.
Knight just nearly scores an own goal.

Tranmere throw everybody forward for a free kick and Mills clears with aheader. Beckford just offside at the other end. Tranmera again and it hits Knight before Eaves loses it and they come again. We clear and now Moritz fires one ten yards wide. Not really a glory night for us whatever happens, because Tranmere aren't breaking many pots in the league. Now we win a corner after good work by Youngs. And.....it's a bad one. Tranmere come again and its all to and fro again. Beckford gets a shot in, deflected but the corner does nothing. Eaves plays a bit of basketball and gets penalised. Tranmere still trying but Eaves finds Bckford before they manage to clear. "Plenty time yet" says our hopeful commentator and Lonergan has to be out rapidly after a clumsy back pass. Now we get forward with Pratley before Mears gets one in and Beckford tries an overhead. Beckford gets a knock as the first period ends.

The XI. Pick five penalty-takers.

Lonergan; Mears, Mills, Knight, Baptiste; Moritz, Medo, Pratley; Youngs, Beckford, Eaves

You know Captain Zat's gonna lumber up.
