Just spied this in the BEN. Think I'll have a stroll over.

BOLTON photographer Kevin Shipley opens a new exhibition at Harwood Library, in Gate Fold, this weekend.

Mr Shipley’s collection, entitled Vantage Point, opens in the library’s popular gallery on Sunday and runs throughout the month.

The collection uncovers such hidden gems as landscapes, seascapes, mountain ranges and abandoned buildings.

We need a Latin term for the fetish of looking at abandoned buidings (like derelictophilia or abando-rioja-erotica)... I'll go away and think of one.

the groups of people who do this as a hobby (break into derelict old industrial buildings - or navigate sewerage system tunnels etc.) generally go under the name "urbex" (urban exploration)

I'll ask William if he fancies it, too. Hmmm, if only there was some kind of there was some kind of house that's open to the public nearby where we could discuss the exhibition afterwards. :drink:

I've been doing some beach abstracts while up in Scotland.
Here is some seaweed:

Just got home from a whistle stop business trip to London. I took my camera and tripod and managed to grab some time to take these. A bit clichéd, but I'm quite pleased with the results. I had hoped to catch the 'blue hour', but the last presentation we were forced to sit through dragged on just that bit too long. :(

Well it is, Monty.

Yep AH .. I did ... and gloves and robbers hat and, as you know, I'm almost Leeds-like about wearing such garb.

There were a series of cliffs if, maybe 100-120 feet. I don't do heights but they weren't obvious. I took the view that if I kept the sheep between me and the edge I was safe.
