Made my day that knowing that we go into Deadline Day looking to do some business. We need to do some business. I reckon N'Gog/Mills and possibly another are on their way out the door

I wonder if the Trafford Rags would lend us Wilfred. He doesn't appear to be doing very much just now.

Im guessing there'd be a few prem clubs ahead of us in line if Zaha was availableBruce Rioja wrote:I wonder if the Trafford Rags would lend us Wilfred. He doesn't appear to be doing very much just now.

I think you're probably right, Jez. I'm just wondering if the Douglas connection could count for owt.Jez wrote:Im guessing there'd be a few prem clubs ahead of us in line if Zaha was availableBruce Rioja wrote:I wonder if the Trafford Rags would lend us Wilfred. Which means we must have buyers/loaners already lined up. Lets hope there are some replacements in the offing too.ChrisC wrote:Nixon reckons 3 will be shown the door tomorrow.

Unless we're paying the taker about 500% of his wages, who is going to take him?plymouth wanderer wrote:If it ain't knight we've learned fvck all

indeed... I will be interested to see what "being shown the door" actually means...ChrisC wrote:Nixon reckons 3 will be shown the door tomorrow.

Presumably this except he's pointing at the door.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Taking bets? I honestly think Knight will be one of them (massively wishful thinking maybe). He and Baptiste were exchanging pretty heated words after the second goal went in yesterday. That coupled with the crowd booing his every touch for the remainder of the first half you have to wonder how much respect he has in the changing room.ChrisC wrote:Nixon reckons 3 will be shown the door tomorrow.
Maybe I'm being really unfair but to me after the second goal went in, Knight just gave up. Blackburn got a corner and he kind of just wandered up into the area with no real urgency and it was Spearing who was barking at the rest of the team. I understand that Knight's confidence must be shot to pieces but (especially as captain) he needs to man up and take responsibility, if he is to stay that is.

Excuse me for pointing out the obvious, but what have any of those players (aside from another) got to do with our piss poor performances so far? If that's it, I'd be extremely disappointed.TKIZ! wrote:Made my day that knowing that we go into Deadline Day looking to do some business. We need to do some business. You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

If 3 go then we have to bring 3 in. We've got a short squad as it is. Mills to Seasiders has been suggested by the Oracle in The People today
Pfffft.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
That's probably the reason why Knight gets so much grief. He just doesn't look overly interested, it's like he's going through the motions just to pick up a pay packet. Is there really an urgency from Knight to score a goal when he goes up for set pieces?89bwfc89 wrote:Taking bets? I honestly think Knight will be one of them (massively wishful thinking maybe). From what I understand he's more of a leader than we suspect and he likes to organize the team more than we realize, but this is not a training session and those sort of leadership qualities don't really shine through on his performances. It's a shame but its evident. I suspect he got appointed captain because there weren't an abundance of stand out candidates.
It's a shame he gets grief but he doesn't make it easy on himself. If he genuinely looked like attacking the ball in the latter half of the pitch it would surely do him the world of good. We had plenty of suspect defensive moments from Jaidi and Faye in their time at the club, the difference was, they were good at attacking the ball and the defensive frailties were often overlooked due to the fact that they made amends up the other end of the pitch.

Mills is probably the most obvious.TKIZ! wrote:If 3 go then we have to bring 3 in. We've got a short squad as it is. Mills to Seasiders has been suggested by the Oracle in The People today
If I had to hazard a guess I would say Eaves, Vela or Odelusi would be potential names to go out.

That wouldn't solve much at the club.Mar wrote:Mills is probably the most obvious.TKIZ! wrote:If 3 go then we have to bring 3 in. We've got a short squad as it is. Mills to Seasiders has been suggested by the Oracle in The People today

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I wouldn't have thought the wages of either of those 3 would be sufficient to prevent us signing someone until they left.Armchair Wanderer wrote:That wouldn't solve much at the club.Mar wrote:Mills is probably the most obvious.TKIZ! wrote:If 3 go then we have to bring 3 in. Indeed - If he's that pi%%ed, then you have to think it's at people who were actually playing yesterday. If we asssume that he isn't going to flirt any of his recent signees, then there's still seven to go at from the starting eleven yesterday.Armchair Wanderer wrote:That wouldn't solve much at the club.Mar wrote:Mills is probably the most obvious.TKIZ! wrote:If 3 go then we have to bring 3 in.
