I'm saying nothing... but it was very amusing to see my mrs take him to pieces in their verbal jousting, given that he is a junior barrister.

This morning I've somehow managed to catch the little toe on my left foot on the plinth that runs round the outside of the bath, and in doing so have ripped the toenail right back. Anyone know how to get blood out of carpet?

A mate of mine's at tonight's game between Valencia and Barcelona. He's just posted this photo. You would get me up there for a gold pig that shits gold bars.

You might remember Monty (or you may not) but when we were kids they had binoculars (opera glasses) on the back of theatre seats that you put sixpence in to release and use. Imagine that today? They'd all be gone first night.Montreal Wanderer wrote:It's a bit steep as they say....

I went to a game at Boca Juniors whilst on holiday one time. The stand behind the goal there is reminiscent of Bruce's shot. I can remember my knees feeling wobbly as these loons then spent the entire game standing on the edge beyond the railing, holding onto the barrier with one arm whilst waving and gesticulating with the other

Tatoos. Each to their own and all o' that, but even their fiercest supporter must struggle to explain the thinking and the horrendous 'artwork' on display here.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: General Chit Chat
I've never understood why people have tattoo graffiti plastered over their bodies. Still 'n all, if you're that way inclined, surely you'd find a decent artist to do the job. Over the years I've seen mostly average tattoos and some genuinely excellent artwork but those, Bruce, are diabolical examples of the trade.
Is anyone here carrying needlework? If so can you rationalise the reason it or they are now adorning your body beautiful?

I love the one of the guy with loads of band names on his back. Of all of them, he decided the American/Irish hip hip one hit wonders 'House of Pain' deserved the most prominent tattoo.

I've quite a few tattoo's and am in the process of getting a full arm done. Its bizarre really, some people do it for personal reasons (I've got my kids names on my inner biceps) but other people do it just for the artwork. Its each to their own but I will say that its true what they say, in that when you've had one then you soon want another.Dujon wrote:I've never understood why people have tattoo graffiti plastered over their bodies. Although sating that, as per Bruce's link, some get them just for the sake of getting them and there are too many terrible tattooists around meaning more and more shocking tattoos.

There's a guy that works on the shop floor at one of our offshoots. He's riddled in tattoos, all over his arms and neck, bulldogs, swifts, unlikely children's names and so on. He then has a Union Jack tattooed onto either side of his shaven bonce. Thing is, the guy is always in a Germany shirt.

Re: General Chit Chat
I have a tattoo on my shoulder which rarely sees light of day. This was my drunken 18 year old self thinking I was clever. Always regretted it and am planning to cover it with a design (once I decide what to have)
I have two more tattoos. One on either of my upper arms. On my right arm is a design based around my Son's initials. The design came from my brother in law (a graphic artist) and was made for his headstone (my son died aged three years old).
The other tattoo was done for balance and is a circular design of a Celtic (hard C) knot, a symbol of everlasting love.
I'm not against anyone decorating their bodies. The examples above though are just sh*t.

Re: General Chit Chat
3 hours on a hard plastic school chair listening to a lecture on child protection issues has left me with a numb bum and a numb brain. Especially as it could have been summed up in 'if you have any doubts about any child, tell the head and he will deal with it'... Sigh. I know its an important issue but a lot of it is common sense and the rest could have been given in a hand out. My head hurts.

Only three hours, GG? Imagine what the poor students have to go through day after day.
