blimey - that's a risky statement - and over what is at best a marginal argument! couldn't you just do summat like bare your arse on the town hall steps - then carry on as before?Beefheart wrote:If we sell Ngog I'm giving up on football. There'd be no way back from that.

Wigan have had an £8M bid turned down for Jordan Rhodes according to Nixon.
Wigan have also bid £4.5M for some young striker from Monaco.

Perhaps, but there's nothing to say Swansea won't up their bid. Stoke also interested too. Fire up the car, Pete.ChrisC wrote:Odemthingie has been given permission to speak to Cardiff. Ngog to Swansea looking for likely?

Come on, Owen, revert to form. Get some shaver from Barça B on loan, then keep him on the bench.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wigan have had an £8M bid turned down for Jordan Rhodes according to Nixon.

Is it wrong to be a little jealous that they can throw bids around like this?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Come on, Owen, revert to form. Get some shaver from Barça B on loan, then keep him on the bench.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wigan have had an £8M bid turned down for Jordan Rhodes according to Nixon.

you can't be, really though, can you? - cos it's coyle spending the money - and he will surely saddle them with utter shoite who will drain the lifeblood out of the club?? no?BWFC_Insane wrote:Is it wrong to be a little jealous that they can throw bids around like this?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Come on, Owen, revert to form. Just frustrating that they can spend more money in one window than we have in 3 seasons!thebish wrote:you can't be, really though, can you? - cos it's coyle spending the money - and he will surely saddle them with utter shoite who will drain the lifeblood out of the club?? no?BWFC_Insane wrote:Is it wrong to be a little jealous that they can throw bids around like this?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Come on, Owen, revert to form. I don't know whether to be jealous or to simply bide my time. That said, I don't particularly want them to go bust: just to fail and possibly get relegated again would suffice, please.BWFC_Insane wrote:Is it wrong to be a little jealous that they can throw bids around like this?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Come on, Owen, revert to form. I do find myself wondering now how much of my desire for Wigan to fail is a desire for Coyle to fail. Certainly if he becomes a wiser, saner, better manager for them I'll be really f*cking annoyed at what we had to put up with.

don't think it hurts if you have an ex manager who seemingly wants to give you lots of money for players he used to manage. papers saying martinez has agreed £12.5m purchase of mccarthy.
how many ex wigan players have everton got. where did wigan finish ?!
is martinez whelans secret agent

Hardly comparible thoughis it? Especially if he's got that kind of money to throw around.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

I'm not fussed about Wigan or Coyle. It is more that a club most of us would consider smaller, with fewer resources, certainly historically, can massively outspend us now in the same division.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I don't know whether to be jealous or to simply bide my time. Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
The problem with waiting till the loan window is that we can only sign players for a maximum of 90 days. So should someone do wel ala Dawson it isn't a fix till the end of the season. Just for a few months.

phew!! glad we got that one cleared up!!BWFC_Insane wrote:

whoever it turns out to be - purchase or loanee - we should do a Real Madrid and unveil him just the same way as Bale is being unveiled!
