Andre Moritz admitted that the team are currently sharing the supporters’ pain, but confirmed that there is hard work going on behind the scenes to kick-start the Whites’ season.

Having made the move to the Reebok during the summer transfer window, the Brazilian-born attacking midfielder has featured in a handful of games so far.

And Moritz confessed that he and his teammates are giving their all on the training ground through the international break in an attempt to turn Wanderers’ fortunes around.

“We do have honour and we do want to be a good team. I came here to bring Bolton back to the Premier League, to play at a big club with all the facilities and all the things at the training ground - we must be a Premier League club,” the 27-year-old explained.

“We just need to win the first game, score the first goal and I think everything will change. You can be sure that we do work hard – we are as gutted as all the supporters are right now, possibly more because we are really feeling it.”

He said: “We are the ones who put our faces on the pitch, the ones who are running and sweating every day.

“Of course, it’s our job but we don’t want to lose. We want to win, be the ones who control the ball and control the game, so we do work hard and I promise you that soon enough, we will be at the top again.”

There must be full-size pitches at the training ground, it must be that the wind direction is different at the Reebok for those long hoofs forward.

Thinking about it for a second I like the idea a lot... something working on the training ground might not necessarily means it works at the 'Bok... but if it works at the 'Bok then it'll surely work in a (home) match.
