Agents Fees

Post by BWFC_Insane » Fri Sep 06, 2013 10:57 am

Bolton paid out £611,900 in agents fees last season. Putting us around mid table for the championship in terms of agents fees paid.

Blackburn paid out a staggering £3,538,034 in agents fees topping the lot.

Blackpool paid out nothing the only championship club to do so.

Could Blackburn's be so high because they sacked 3 managers?

Probably not helped either by a series of particularly suspicious transfers, for example, allegedly over half a million for those 5 Portugese youngsters who made bugger all appearances last season. I'm sure I've seen a quote somewhere about them trying to pay another agent a sizeable fee for a released English youngster from the lower leagues too.

Makes those conspiracy theories about the club being hijacked by a couple of bent agents out to milk the club seem not-quite-so-implausible...
