Living in the past..
It wasnt a dig at you Tango

It feels at times like a lot of people haven't come to terms with where we are as a club. People wanting the manager out because of a poor start because in their heads they think we are a big club in this league and should be up the top by rights. The fact is we are on par with a lot of clubs in this league but they have an advantage over us because they don't have a bunch of overpaid puffs who think they are to good for this league and they can just turn up every week and the 3 points will be there for the taking. The other teams have players full of heart and determination.

So we've suddenly become an also-ran in the space of 6 months?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

We are not an automatic challenger for promotion, but are certainly good enough to be in with a shout. This squad, any number of combinations from it, provide teams capable of beating anyone in this division. That's the tragedy .... and the frustration. If we aren't ... and we certainly are not ... then that's down to attitude, confidence, organisation, coaching, leadership.
That needs sorting ... and quick.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

That'll be after SKD dislocated a finger during a game, jogged to the bye-line, had the physio. reset it and then played on. I've also witnessed him suffering a fractured cheekbone at Fulham (or Charlton?) and a fractured metatarsal at Arsenal in the cup and he played on there too.
I can't see anyone in our current squad who epitomises that commitment. And that's disappointing.

I remember that classic davo
Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience

Bet that in his prime years of commitment and workrate we were probably arguing that there was no player more committed or hard working in the league, so it's no surprise there's few out there like it.
