I thought we lost at Tranmere, not Shrewsbury.
May the bridges I burn light your way

haha.. sorry I did mean Tranmere, we managed to beat Shrewsbury, how could I forget that win of sheer magnitude!

I'm not saying we're crap now because we played a weakened team - but DF should have played his strongest team from the first whistle to try and get some winning mentality into the players, rather than make a few subs during the match to try and patch it up a bit.

If it was half way through the season and we were flying, then fair enough - you rest players and give some of on younger lads a go... but to do it in what was game 2 of the season when the players should be as fit as they're going to be on the back of pre-season just seemed a bit daft to me.

I think even though DF has said he needs to play his strongest team, I can definitely see him making changes for tonight. I predict: Bogdan, Baptiste, Tierney, Mills, Wheater, Ream, Spearing, Pratley, Chungy, Ngog and Beckford in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with him bringing on Hall (who should be starting but I reckon won't) coming on to liven it up if needed.

After saturday, I think Ngog maybe on thin ice to start. If you've seen the photos from saturday on the official BWFC facebook page then you'll see Ngog laughing and smiling in nearly all of them especially when Pratley missed at the end of the match.
I'm going for a VERY nervy 2-1 win.

if he says he is playing his strongest team - and doesn't play Knight (his chosen captain) - then that IS making something of a statement!

Not long now until the teams are announced, it's not going to be like deadline day is it?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

But... But, if he does? Does that mean we know for definite that he hasn't a clue? Or are we still, collectively waiting for game 10?

Nope, I have a sneaky feeling that after his piss poor effort on saturday he'll be on the bench.

Looks like

----------Bogdan

Batiste-- Wheater-- Mills-- Tierney

------Ream-----Spearing

Lee---------Eagles--------Hall

------------Beckford ---------

He said he wanted eaglesplaying off the striker. Glad Hall being given his chance.
Hope it's the beginning of the end for Knightmare, and good riddance.

MUST win game tonight, nothing less will do.

Good to see Hall getting a start.

Lee-Hall ... Eagles is a positive statement. Good

No Knight ... good

Resisted the temptation to drop Ream back to Centre-Half ... good

Wheater with Mills ... well, we'll have to see, but he hasn't that many other variations.

Could it actually get any worse ? I really don't think it could. so this at least is an attempt to respond.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".
