Yes, turning it on when wet can cause a short. I've put my usb key through the wash a couple of times and once through the dryer, and it survived. But it is scarcely as delicate as a cell phone - sorry mobile phone.plymouth wanderer wrote:CheersMontreal Wanderer wrote:plymouth wanderer wrote:Argh!!! dropped my phone in some water

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
24 hrs should be enough but there were a lot of preliminary steps as well - e.g remove battery and battery cover, remove sim card, etc. etc.. Unfortunately I have to announce the probable demise of the giant Spider from Mars that had take up residence with us. The wife saw it crouched up in a corner near the ceiling , shrieked then grabbed the hoover and, before I could say "leave the little blighter alone", it was gone. I grabbed the hoover nipped into the back garden and emptied the bag out quickly but didn't see it. I'm thinking of reporting her to the R.S.P.C.S.

Tonight we are invaded by the flying spiders (daddy-long-legs) ... I'm taking them down one by one, but it's a long job.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

^ What's so difficult about cupping them in your hand and letting them out of a window?
May the bridges I burn light your way

I'll second the good for her, I am trying to get an agreement with spiders, they can come in if needs be but must never be seen, once spotted they are on death row.bobo the clown wrote:Good for her.TANGODANCER wrote:Unfortunately I have to announce the probable demise of the giant Spider from Mars that had take up residence with us. Better half is terrified on them, we even have those electrical plug in jobbies to keep them out but some are clearly deaf and still come in
My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!

Twitter.
Not Twitter itself, but the obsession the media have with it. Newsnight did a fifteen minute piece on Breaking Bad the other day; the first half was on location in Albequerque talking to residents about how good it is, and the second half entirely about how word has spread through Twitter and Facebook and Netflix. Talking about the f*cking thing you dicks! Every pissing news article is a self-referential meta-report on how the reports have been reported on 'Social Media' instead of the actual news!
MotD just did a poll on which Manchester team would finish higher. Who gives a f*ck what randoms are 'voting' on 6 games in.
C*NTS!

Sunday morning, reading Saturday's match reports in the media. Hate em. Used to be such a pleasure.
